A wanted man was found hiding in a crawl space of a home near Frackville.
According to court documents, on Sunday, April 23, 2023, around 9:30pm, Pennsylvania State Troopers from the Frackville Barracks along with West Mahanoy Township Police responded to 63 South Line Street, in the West Mahanoy Township section of Frackville to apprehend Keenan Alan Eckert, of Coal Township.
Eckert was known to have active bench warrants in Schuylkill, Columbia, and Snyder Counties.
When police arrived, Eckert was found standing in the backyard of the property, but once he was given verbal commands to stay where he was, he fled inside the home.
Officers were granted access by the homeowner to search the home, and Eckert was found heading in a crawl space in the basement of the home, and taken into custody.
For the incident, Trooper Michael Owens charged Eckert with flight to avoid apprehension and evading arrest.
Eckert was taken into custody on the warrants and also arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on the new charges.
He was then locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for the warrants and also being unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail for the new charges.
