Clifford Loving, 64, of Tamaqua, passed away Tuesday morning in Lehighton.

Arlene C. Breiner
, beloved mother, grammie, sister, 93 years of age of Mantzville West Penn Township, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023, as a guest of St. Luke's Miners Memorial 5th Floor, Coaldale, Pennsylvania.

Born Tuesday, July 16, 1929 in West Penn Township the daughter of the late Howard, and Emma (Kemner) Steigerwalt. Arlene was predeceased by; her husband, Richard W. Breiner on Nov 6, 2019; son Rodney R. Breiner; brothers, William, Herman, LeRoy, Welles, and Howard Jr. Steigerwalt; sister Grace Reinhart.

Surviving are her devoted son, Perry L. Breiner and his wife Louann who were her caregivers; sister, Fern Osenbach; grandchildren, Andy Breiner and his wife Sarah, Amanda Peters and her husband Dylan, Jill Gomez and her husband Jorge; great grandchildren, Jack, Madeline, Payton, CiCi who affectionately called her grammie.

A longtime member of St. Peter's Church of Mantzville, Arlene had worked for the former Atlas Powder Co., and as a cafeteria aide at the West Penn Elementary School. She, and Richard enjoyed volunteering at the Mahoning Valley Fire Department helping with various fundraisers. She was an excellent cook and loved baking. Her pie crusts, doughnuts and potato candy were the best. Despite all her duties around the home and work, her life revolved around her family and she loved every minute of it. Arlene cherished her roles as wife, mother, and grammie.

Peggy Freeze DeWitt,
74, Beloved Wife of John DeWitt (Schuylkill Haven), Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt and Friend made her journey to the Lord on May 17, 2023.

Born March 31 1949 in Pottsville Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Howard Freeze Sr. and Evelyn (Holley) Freeze. Peggy was predeceased by a sister Helen Burke, a brother Howard Freeze Jr. and an infant brother Robert.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: daughters Lynn(Wayne) Sinkovich of Palo Alto and Katie (Dave) Saulino of Collegeville, Step sons Brian DeWitt of Colorado and Christopher DeWitt of Schuylkill Haven, her grandchildren who were the lights of her life Craig Sinkovich, Devon Sinkovich, Leo Saulino, and Max Saulino, sisters Janet Muller, Barbara (Carl) Post, Karen (Senen) Cortes, sisters in law Edna Freeze and Jan (Steve) Fink and bonus sister Kathleen (Hugh) McGowan. Peggy is also survived by many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

A 1967 graduate of Pottsville Area High School Peggy went on to work until her retirement. However she considered her greatest life’s work to be her family. She loved nothing more than family dinners, family beach trips, ladies nights with her bonus sisters and friends, and card games every week with her sisters, nieces, and the occasional nephew. Peggy was a member of the Schuylkill Haven Seniors group The Golden Girls. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in Schuylkill Haven where she enjoyed singing in the choir with her husband John and spending time with her church family.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 AM at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will be held at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Clifford Loving, 64, of Tamaqua, passed away Tuesday morning in Lehighton.

Born in Radford, VA on December 18, 1958, he was the son of the late Betty L. (Mannon) Loving-Hylton and Eugene L. Loving.

Cliff graduated from Northside High School, Roanoke VA.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Clifford served in the United States Air Force for 12 years and was a recruiter.

He was the husband of Leanne (Best) Loving, they were married in 1979.

He previously worked as a sales representative for Bradley-Caldwell in Hazleton. He was currently employed by Country Junction in Lehighton as a manager in the Lawn & Garden Department.

Cliff enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, and woodworking. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was well known for making pickles and baking bread.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Rita Caldwell.

He is survived by; wife Leanne (Best) Loving; brother William Loving, Natural Bridge VA; daughter Lisha Danner (James), Lehighton; son Steven Loving (Jamie), Tamaqua; daughter Erika Clapp (Robert), Rockwell TX; 7 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Adam, Mason, Emma, Lilian, Kyndall & Gabriel; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be announced a later date.

Carol Ann McDemus
, 75, of Ringtown, joined God's choir, with her beautiful voice on Friday, November 18, 2022. Greeting Carol at heaven's gate were her loved ones who went home before her, daughter, Amy Joy, her mother Grace Stanley, her sister Colleen Darrow, and her in-laws, Henry and Millie McDemus.

Carol was born August 31, 1947, the oldest of seven children. Carol entered the world with a head full of copper curls, like a shiny new penny, from that day forward her family and friends in northwest Indiana, where she was raised knew her as Penny.

Carol met the love of her life, Joseph McDemus in Michigan where he was stationed with the US Air Force and she was attending school. Carol and Joe married on February 5, 1966 and their love story lasted nearly 57 years.

Left to cherish Carol's memory are her loving husband, Joe McDemus of Ringtown, their sons, Michael (Judy) McDemu of Ringtown, Rick (Jenny) McDemus, Pottsville and grandchildren, Brandon, Caitlyn, Justin and Samantha McDemus. She is also survived by her siblings, Harry (Joan) Buell, Elsie (Fred) Coates, Melody (Don) Wilson, Kim (Mike) Miller, and Dawn (Mike) Ebersole, all of Indiana.

Carol loved her family deeply and nothing made her happier than jumping on the motorcycle with Joe and making a trip to visit those she held dear, whether it was a quick day trip or a week back in Indiana. Anywhere with Joe was home and together they made a lifetime of beautiful memories traveling America's roadways.

Visitation with Carol's family will be held on Thursday evening, May 23rd 2023 from 6-8 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. A Celebration of life service followed by committal will be held on Friday, May 26 th, at 11 AM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday morning between 9:30 and 10 AM, as a procession to the cemetery will form and leave promptly at 10 AM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carol's name are asked to be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, % Schaeffer's Harley Davidson, 1123 Brick Hill Road, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
