Marie (Kistler) Rubright, 79, of Ashland (formerly of New Ringgold) died May 18 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill with her children by her side.

Complications from a motor vehicle accident November 22, 2022, attributed to her death. The numerous injuries caused a severe decline of health during the last 6 months of life. We will miss her tremendously.

Marie was born on Railroad St., New Ringgold in August 1943. She was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Haas Kistler and the last of her immediate family, and youngest of 12 children.

She was the widow of the late Claude Rubright who died in 2005. They were married 33 years.

Most of her life Marie was as a homemaker with prior employment at General Battery, Hamburg and Heislers Ice Cream Shop in Tamaqua.

She had attended Tamaqua High School.

Marie is preceded in death by her 6 brothers and 5 sisters; Norman Kistler, Harold "Abe" Kistler, Willard Kistler, Myrtle Kistler Yerger, Mildred Kistler Solary, Beatrice Kistler Belsak, Evelyn Kistler Geiger, William "Chut" Kistler, Arthur Kistler, Chester Kistler, and Dorothy "Dolly" Kistler Rolland.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Rubright Adams, wife of Richard, Hamburg, and her 11 children; Connie Hess Vetrano, Carol Hess Heyward, Tina Hess, Susan Rubright Mitchell Kieffer, Helen Rubright Seibert, Raymond Hess, David Hess, Dean Hess, Dale Rubright, Christopher Lazarchick and Sean Lazarchick. Marie is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, May 25 at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 South 4th Street, Hamburg. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 with the service starting at 10:00. Interment will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A reception will follow at the Community Fire Company, New Ringgold and all are invited to attend. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Cyril Orlik
, 89, of Tamaqua, PA died on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Coaldale, PA. He was the husband of the late Dolores Orlik to whom he had been married 58 years at the time of her death in December of 2019. 

Born in Coaldale on July 12, 1933, Joseph was a son of the late Michael and Susan (Mojuis) Orlik. A 1953 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he served in the army during the Korean War. Joseph furthered his education at a trade school where he became a machinist using his trade for his employment at Dorr Oliver in Hazleton, PA. He was a member of The Parish of St. John XXIII, Tamaqua. 

Joseph is survived by his son, David Orlik and his wife Jan of Cambridge, MD; grandson, Jon Orlik and his wife, Megan of Quakertown, PA; step grandchildren, Jeff Collura and his companion, Cindy Mirarchi of Sugarloaf, PA and Jac Collura and his wife, Becky of Summit Hill, PA; step great grandson, Alex Collura of Florida; and nieces, Frances Albino and Susan Bochicchio. 

He was predeceased by all of his siblings. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 25 in St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Robert T. Finlan officiating. 

Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the mass. Call 9-10:30 AM at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. 

Memorial donations may be made to The Parish of St. John XXIII, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Francis J. “ Frank” Minnucci, 76, Frackville passed away peacefully Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Ambler, PA he was a son of the late John G. and Carrie Roberta Minnucci. He was a self employed business owner. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Frank was a devoted family man who loved his wife dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Robert Minnucci

Frank is survived by his wife of 44 years Roberta B. Kratz Minnucci, a son and two daughters; Richard “Rick” Minucci, Richelle Jones and Angela ( Ryan ) Meyer, eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Frank’s name, to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Christopher M. Lopresto
, 61 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 19, 2023, at home.

Born Tuesday, October 10, 1961 in Coaldale the son of the late Guido G. Lopresto who died on July 15, 2022.

Surviving are his beloved mother, Lucille (Coppola) Lopresto of Tamaqua; sister Elizabeth Confer and her husband Bruce O.; nieces, Marlo Spilker wife of Brock, Laine O. Confer; great nieces, Arliss E., and Thea F. Spilker. Aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive Chris.

A Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Chris played football, and wrestled for the Tamaqua Blue Raiders. Chris was a graduate of Bloomsburg University. He was a Golden Glove Boxer, and professional boxer. Chris co-owned Side Tracks Bar in Tamaqua and had previously worked as a bartender at Golden Spike Inn, and Shicks Café Calcutta. Chris was an avid reader and watch collector. Chris loved music, and played the saxophone while preforming with several local bands over the years.

Chris could keep you amused with his sense of humor and ability to capture you by way of his storied tales. He was a devoted son to his mother, Lucille.

A Celebration of Chris’s Life will be held on Tuesday May 30, 2023 at 11 o’clock A.M. from the funeral home. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Ezekiel K. "Bud" Lucas
, 23, of Tremont passed away early Saturday morning, May 20, 2023, in Donaldson.

Bud was born in Pottsville, May 28, 1999, a son of Sheila Jo Leininger, Tremont.

Bud's strong work ethic was second to none. He was currently employed as a heavy equipment operator for Frank Krammes Excavating. He also had been a surface and deep coal miner in the past. He will be remembered as a jack-of-all-trades.

He was always the life of the party and could often be found socializing at the various organizations he belonged to. He was a member of the Pine Grove Fish & Game, Pine Grove Ten Pin, Pine Grove VFW, Valley View Gun Club, Valley View VFW, Little Run Sportsman Club, and the Newtown Fire Company.

Bud was the definition of an all-around country boy. Nothing made him happier than hanging with his friends and family. Whether it be sitting out by a fire, hunting, having a cold drink, or riding ATVs, Bud was type of guy you could not help but be friends with.

His family was extremely important to him. He had an inseparable bond with his mom and sister. Bud will be deeply missed by all those lucky enough to call him a friend.

Surviving are his mother and best friend, Shelia Jo Leininger; his sister, Shyla Lucas, Tremont; half-brother, Garrett Hentz (Jena), Good Spring; grandparents, Zeke Leininger, Tremont, Sheila Leininger, Williamstown, Rick Lucas, Joliett, Randy Madenford, Pine Grove; nephew Marley Hentz; Bud is also survived by Rick Kocher, who was a big part of his life; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9-11 at the chapel.
