The event's proceeds went into the betterment of the park.
The event included vendors like "Rage Parade" from Pottsville and also allowed skaters to show off their skill in a "best trick" contest.
According to organizer Juhl Lucas, the event is also held to show the community the benefits of having the park.
"We are looking for volunteers" Lucas said. "So every little bit helps. Even if people aren't here to skate we would like people to get involved and show the borough that there are people who will use the skatepark."
To get involved with the park and learn about future events, information is posted on the "Minersville Area SkatePark" Facebook page and Instagram accounts listed below. Donations towards the park can also be made online.
