Five people were reported to be injured in a rollover crash in Centralia on Tuesday afternoon.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Route 42 between Aristes and Centralia when a Chevrolet Suburban rolled multiple times ejecting 3 of the 5 occupants inside from the vehicle. One of the victims was also entrapped and had to be cut from the vehicle.
According to Aristes Fire Company's Captain Matt Yeager, 1 person was transported to Aristes and flown to an area hospital, another victim was requested to be flown but the helicopter declined due to the smoke conditions.
Three other victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Details on how the crash occurred were not available at the scene but one person that witnessed the crash said the vehicle was traveling down the hill towards Centralia when the crash occurred.
The Pennsylvania State Police were at the scene investigating. As of 7:00pm, the roadway was still closed.
