Dorothy I. Ganci, 84, of Boyertown, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at home.
Born on March 27, 1939 in Rock, she was a daughter of the late William T. Sr. and Bertha B. Knarr Bressler.
Dorothy was a sewing machine operator for the former J & S in Lebanon.
She was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Tremont and attended St. Columbkill Church in Boyertown. She was a member of the Ladies Fireman Auxiliary in New Jersey.
Dorothy enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her husband Salvatore J. Ganci, Jr. in 2011, four sisters, Shirley Lawell, Anna Jane Keller, Alice Bressler and Georgine Bressler; three brothers, William T. Jr. "Billy", Harvey, and Sterling Bressler.
Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia and husband Stephen Smith of Aransas Pass, TX, Nina Ganci and companion Clay Wortman of Taylors, S.C., Sami Jo and husband Daniel Trout of Boyertown, with whom she resided, 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; three sisters, Altheda "Ethel" Wolfe of Pine Grove, Barbara Arthur of Minersville, Carol and husband Bob Bainbridge of Pottsville; a brother Kenneth and wife Betty Bressler of Pine Grove; a sister-in-law, Sister Mary Joseph Ganci of Woodbridge, NJ; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont with Father Johnson officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in the Most Blessed Trinity Cemetery, Tremont.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or by mail to P. O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Born in Pine Grove, March 5, 1947, a son of the late Claude J. and Alda Felty Eichert.
Butch was a retired coal miner.
He will be remembered for his ability to fix almost anything. He was a jack of all trades.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Irene Neidlinger Eichert, 2009; two sons, James Eichert, 2018 and Keith Eichert, 2019; a granddaughter, Chelsea Eichert, 2003; a sister, Carol Nye, 2020.
Surviving are his children, Claude Eichert, Jr., Harrisburg, Crystal Drum, Lykens, Tammy Bender, Lebanon, and Earl Eichert, Tower City; five sisters, Claudia Levine, South Carolina, Catherine Manback, Schuylkill Haven, Cindy Eichert, Hegins, Christine Matthias, Schuylkill Haven, and Carla Witmer, Paradise; four brothers, Charles Eichert, Fleetwood, Craig Eichert, Orwigsburg, Clyde Eichert, Reading, and Carl Eichert, Pottsville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Following his wishes, Butch will be laid to rest privately in the St. Peters Cemetery, Orwin.

Joseph M. Furedi, 63, of Hazleton, PA, passed away on Monday, June 5th, 2023.
Born in Hazleton on July 21st, 1959, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Furedi and his surviving mother, Dolores (Helock) Furedi.
Joseph was a 1977 graduate of West Hazleton High School and was employed by Hershey Foods in Humboldt.
Besides his mother Dolores, he is survived by his brother, Brian Furedi with his fiancé Terry, and a nephew, Brian Furedi Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 19th at 10am by Deacon Jack Quirk in St. Mary’s Greek Catholic Cemetery, Sheppton, Pa.

Llewellyn “Lew” R. Watkins, Jr., 83, of Schuylkill Haven passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday.
Born in Pottsville, February 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Llewellyn Sr. and Thelma Dunheimer Watkins.
Lew was a 1957 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
He worked for the local ACME Market throughout his life in the Dairy Department.
Lew was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven.
Lew was a lifelong Cardinals fan, he loved visiting baseball parks around the country. When not on the road, he could often be found watching a game on TV with his cat Holly on his lap.
Lew is survived by his wife Susan in addition to his daughter Lori Watkins, wife of Pete of Downingtown, PA. He is also survived by two grandchildren Macy and Evan Watkins of Downingtown, PA as well as his sisters Sue Kraft of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sonia Meck of Maslen, OH.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17th at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven at 11:00 A.M. Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will take place at a later date on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Donations in Lew’s memory can be made to the Hillside SPCA in Pottsville, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
