Martin R. Flannery, 91, a resident of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 12th, 2023.Martin was born in Pottsville on January 28, 1932, a son of the late Robert and Violet Flannery. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving overseas in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
He was retired having been owner and warehouse manager as a distributor of Tupperware products, along with his wife, the former Shirley Ann Hollenbush, who preceded him in death in 2020.
Martin was of the catholic faith and also attended the First Baptist Church in Pottsville. He was a loving caregiver to his late wife, and he enjoyed watching western and cowboy movies. He was fond of all his pets through out his lifetime.
In addition to his parents and wife Shirley Ann, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vince and Robert Flannery.
Martin is survived by his sons, Charles Flannery and his wife, Terri of Frackville, and Ronald Flannery of Orwigsburg. A sister Dolores Bonner survives, as do nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service on Monday, June 19 th, at 11 AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of ther service. Martin will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Schuylkill Memorial Park following the service.

Born in Allentown, October 31, 1968, She was a daughter of the late Diane (Bass) Eroh and .Edward Eroh and his wife Rosemary of Danielsville
A graduate of Tamaqua High School, she worked as a bartender at several area taverns.
In addition to her father she is survived by her husband of 28 years Harry E. Cartwright Sr.; 3 Children Tiara Kelly of Pottsville; Myrissa Johnson and her husband Mike of Steelton; Ryan Kelly of Pottsvillle; 3 Step Children Holly Botek and her husband Joe of St. Clair; Harry Cartwright Jr. and his wife Katie of Heckshersville; Mark Cartwright and his wife Sara of Port Carbon; 6 Grandchildren Blake, Paige, Zoey, Jacob, Austin, and Madison; Brother Edward Eroh and his wife Cara of Tamaqua; Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday June 19, 2023 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Jack Murray will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral costs.

Jeanne M. Zakrewski, RN, 86, of Ringtown, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Jeanne was born in Ringtown, on July 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Yavorsky) Yurkonis, Sr..
A caring and kind person, Jeanne was a registered nurse, having worked as the plant nurse for the former Purolator Products in Ringtown, then later working as a nurse for the state prison in Frackville, until her retirement. Her loving nature was evident in her rescued pets, from her cats and dogs to donkeys.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, John Zakrewski in 2010, a brother, Charles Yurkonis, Jr., and a sister, Lillian Chuplis. She is survived by a brother, Robert Yurkonis, along with nieces and nephews, including Cheryl, wife of John Hood and Mark Chuplis. Great nieces and nephews survive, including Logan and Ava Hood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, North Center Street, Ringtown on at 10 AM on Monday, July 17th, 2023. Visitation with Jeanne's family will be from 9 AM until the time of the mass. Jeanne will be laid to rest alongside her husband at St. Mary's Cemetery, immediately following the Mass.
The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown is assisting Jeanne's family during their time of need.

Born on February 16, 1924 in Rehrersburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Kathryn Bucher Weida.
Jean was a seamstress. She also raised horses and skunks, which she descented. She was an avid hunter, sportsman, taxidermist and loved the outdoors. She also had two dachshunds that she loved.
She was a member of the Pine Grove Fish and Game, Bethel Fire Co. and Mt. Aetna Fire Co.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ronald D Tobias on December 24, 2019.
Surviving are extended family and close friends.
Graveside Services and interment for both Ronald and Jean will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a procession leaving the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, at 10:15 A.M. Anyone wishing to follow in the procession is asked to be at the Funeral Home by 10:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
