David L. Kehler
, 64, of Lavelle, PA, passed away Saturday, June 24th at his residence.

David was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 28th, 1958, son of the late Anna Mae (Lamont) and Joseph J. Kehler. He was raised in Frackville, PA by his beloved Aunt Mary Kehler until her death.

He attended North Schuylkill schools and Wyoming Seminary.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville, where he had served on their church council as President.

He was the 4th generation owner of his family’s real estate investments of rental properties in Frackville. Through the years he ‘got the bug’ for auction of all types and traveled throughout the region to get a ‘bargain.’ This introduced him to the computer repair business and the used car business that he loved the most as it gave him a chance to drive a wide variety of cars on a daily basis.

He was the last surviving member of his family.

Services will be private as he requested.

Vincent J. Albo
, 84, of Seltzer, passed away on Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on May 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Vincent M. and Rose (Tucci) Albo.

Vince was a member of St. John the Baptist R.C.C., Pottsville.

He was a 1957 graduate of Pottsville High School.

Vince proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 24th Infantry Division in Germany.

He was a lifelong member of Teamster Local 429. He worked as a truck driver for Evans Delivery for many years and retired from ABF Freight System in 1994. Throughout the years he also owned Vince's Chevron Service, assisted at Lord Funeral Home, Inc., was a driver for Omega Labs and Bob Weaver, and was a security guard at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville.

Vince enjoyed staying active by attending his high school breakfast group, collecting record albums, and spending time with his family. He was a life member of Phoenix Fire Company, DAV and the AMVETS.

Vince loved his cars and often boasted that he owned several hundred over his lifetime. The one thing he loved more than cars was his family and he was always there for us whenever we needed him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann (Kaplar) Albo, October 31, 1978; wife, Joan A. (Roland) Albo, April 8, 2011, to whom he was married 30 years.

Vincent is survived by two sons: Vincent A. Albo, husband of Rocio of California; Jeffrey E. Albo, husband of Vanessa, of Pottsville; two daughters: Pamela Shields, wife of James, of Pottsville; Karen Miller, wife of Jeffrey, of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren: Bianca Albo; Mariella Albo; Allison Plymale, wife of Jordan; Matthew Shields; Kayla Miller; Kelsey Adam, wife of Jason; Dylan Miller; great grandchildren: Kellan, Crew, Casen, Kinsley, Joelle, and Selah; sister, Jean Lang, of Pottsville; several nieces and nephews; and also, his significant other and the love of his life for 11 years, Ann Piccioni.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 3rd, at St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kevin J. Bobbin officiating.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church.

Interment with military honors will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pottsville.

The family request contributions in Vince's memory be sent to: St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Phyllis I. Shoener, 94, formerly of Adamsdale, passed away Monday, June 26th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Born in South Manheim Township on June 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Carl & Edna Reber.

She was the widow of Kenneth J. Shoener who passed away January 6, 2002.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis is also preceded in death by a brother, John "Jack" Reber.

She had been employed by Landingville Knit as a machine operator.

Phyllis was a member of Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, Landingville, where she was a former member of the choir. She had also belonged to the Landingville Fire Company as a Ladies Auxiliary member.

Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Donna L., wife of Bill Higgins, of Pottsville; a son, Terry L., husband of Jane Shoener, of Selinsgrove, four grandchildren: Jessica, Matthew, Allison, & Jill, and eight great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon at Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, Landingville, with Pastor Glenn Rarick officiating on July 15th. A visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service. Interment will be privately held.

Robert C. "Bob" McGuigan
, 93, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on June 7, 1930, he was a son of the late Clyde & Estella (Carter) McGuigan.

He shared 61 years of marriage with his wife, Carol Lynn (Mueller) McGuigan, who survives him.

Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.

He was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville High School, where he played football and basketball.

He served in the U.S. Navy, and had been a co-owner of Shollenberger & McGuigan Contracting for over 50 years. He was a cabinetry teacher for South Schuylkill Vo-Tech night school for 23 years. He was a councilman for the Mechanicsville Borough for eight years. He was inducted in the Schuylkill Chapter of the Allen Rogowicz Hall of Fame. Bob served in many official capacities for Pottsville Midget Football. He enjoyed HO Trains.

In addition to his wife, Bob is also survived by two daughters: Susan C. McGuigan & Sandra L. O'Brien, and two grandchildren: Casey Corches, & Andrew Colna.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 6th at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville with Rev. John Wallace officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

Private interment will be held at a later date.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions in Bob's memory to First United Methodist Church, 330 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901.

Dawn G. Krammes
, 82, of Landingville, passed away Monday, June 26th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwisburg.

Born in Orwigsburg on February 27, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Kermit & Lovie (Fisher) Moyer.

She was the widow of Ira R. Krammes, who passed away June 17, 2009.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by siblings: Bruce, Martin "Chico", & Jeffrey Moyer.

She was a member of Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, Landingville.

Dawn had been employed as a floor worker for local textile factories.

She is survived by three daughters, Melody Linkchorst, of Landingville; Trudy (Richard) Dry, Palo Alto, & Amanda Krammes, Hegins, five grandchildren: Lindsey, Collin, John, Brock, & Hannah, siblings: Luther Moyer, Orwigsburg, Brian Moyer, Schuylkill Haven, & Debbie Shade, Huntington, TX, and nieces, & nephews.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 PM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of service.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Shirley Catherine Smith, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, June 26th, at home.

Born in Hummelstown, PA on June 25, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William A. & Rose (Brighton) Hanshaw.

She was the widow of the late Guy Edward Smith, her husband of 37 years.

Shirley was of the Protestant faith.

She had worked at several textile factories in Dauphin & Schuylkill counties.

Shirley is survived by a son, Guy W., husband of Natalie Smith, of Friedensburg, two grandsons: Eric, & Nicholas Smith, siblings: Mildred, James, Gary, & Richard Hanshaw, and Anna Hoffman, and numerous nieces, & nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by several siblings, including her twin sister, Doris Phillips.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 29th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

It is with heavy hearts we announce on June 26, 2023, Bonnie Morgan has passed away. 

Born at the former Ashland State Hospital she was the daughter of the late John J. & Helen (McDonnell) Shilpetski II. She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and also Mc Cann's in massage therapy. She had been employed by the Ashland Shirt Company and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church formerly in Mahanoy City. Bonnie loved her family and friends, Halloween and crafting. So many families will miss her costumes, grand march and haunted woods. If there was something to craft, knit, paint or sew, she would do it. And usually it was a gift for someone else. 

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a daughter Tracey and a brother John J. "Jack" Shilpetski III. 

Bonnie is survived by her spouse Karen, a daughter Amy and her husband Brian of MN, brothers and sisters in law William and David Morgan, Faith Morgan, Lynne Irvin and Hope Mroczka as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at a later date. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.
