The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have charged and locked up a Tamaqua man for a theft from Walmart.
According to Troopers, on May 29, 2023, police responded to Walmart in Rush Township near Tamaqua for a report of a retail theft.
The investigation found that 2 suspects exited the store with two ONN 75" televisions and one Onn television mount without paying for them. The items stolen were valued at $1,016.
The suspects fled the scene in a black Chrysler Pacifica.
One of the suspects, Isaih Blankson, 22, of Tamaqua was identified and charged with felony retail theft (greater than $1,000), conspiracy to commit retail theft, and receiving stolen property.
Blankson was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $5,000(10%) bail.
The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate and attempt to identify the second person involved.
