MAHANOY CITY - A busy section of Route 4030 connecting Mahanoy City and Gilberton was closed Monday by PennDOT for a project.
According to PennDOT, the closure, which began on Monday, July 17th, 2023, is set to last until Friday, July 21st, 2023, as authorities work to repair a retaining wall along the roadway.
Drivers should expect a longer route through this section.
The detour follows Route 924 and Route 54 through Shenandoah to bypass the road closure.
