One Transported After Crash in Pottsville

One person was transported to the hospital after a crash in Pottsville on Wednesday.

According to Pottsville Police, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, members of the Pottsville Bureau of Police were sent to the area of Route 61 & East Norwegian Streets for a report of a motor vehicle accident. 

It was determined through a witness that a vehicle operated by Jerome Skwait, age 64, of Pottsville, exited the 7-11 Mini Market traveling across East Norwegian Street, and traveled into the CVS Pharmacy parking lot striking a cement pole. 

Skwait was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

The investigation by Pottsville Police into the crash is ongoing.
