The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a crash in Girardville over the weekend.
According to Troopers, the crash occurred around 5:00am, on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 around 5:00am on West Mahanoy Avenue.
Police say the driver of a Dodge Avenger was traveling west on West Mahanoy Avenue when for unknown reasons, lost control and struck an embankment on the right side of the road causing moderate damage to the vehicle.
The driver fled the scene on foot and left the vehicle partially in the westbound lane on a curve section fo the roadway.
State Police did not identify the owner of the vehicle or the driver.
