A Ringtown woman is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after she stabbed a man in West Mahanoy Township.
According to Court Documents, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, around 9:20pm, West Mahanoy Township Police were dispatched to 33 St. Paul Street in the village of William Penn for a report of suspicious activity. While on their way to the scene, the call was upgraded to a stabbing.
At the scene, police spoke with Danielle Pritchard, 56, of Ringtown, who stated her life was in danger from the man who lives in the residence.
Police found the man stabbed twice in the arm and bleeding profusely.
Upon speaking with the man, he said he was walking from the kitchen and stumbled into Pritchard, when she became irate and stabbed with twice in the forearm with a 6-inch hunting knife.
The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Pritchard was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and simple assault.
She was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James Reiley early Thursday morning and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
Pritchard remains locked up until her preliminary hearing which is scheduled for July 20, 2023 before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah.
