Clyde P. Rhen, 80 of Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at West Chester Rehab Center.Born on May 21, 1943, in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Violet Spittler Rhen.
He was an Army veteran during the Viet Nam War and received the expert badge for Rifle M-14, BAR, and was a 1st Cl Gnr.
Clyde was an over the road trucker until 2000 and then had worked with access services in Schuylkill County.
He was a member of the Pine Grove Wesleyan Church and a member of the teamsters.
Clyde was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a brother, Robert Rhen; and two sisters, Mary Ann Andersen and Joyce Leffler.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Longo Rhen, four sons, Barton and wife Barbara Rhen, Brett A. and wife Esther L. Rhen, James A. and wife Tiffany Rhen, and Jason Rhen; six grandchildren, Jayce, Kenna, Shelby, Sara, Steven, and Hope; a step grandson Johnathan Sterns; one great granddaughter, Aubrey Nicole; a sister, Carol and husband Claude Ritzmen, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 31, at Noon in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Mark Brooks officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 10:30 am until Noon at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Ruth Steinert SPCA, 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963, in his memory.

Raymond H. “Ray” Wayne, 89, Girardville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Girardville he was a son of the late Raymond and Alice McDonald Wayne. He had been employed as an auditor for the Pennsylvania State Auditor’s Office until his retirement.
He was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Girardville, a US Army veteran of the Korean War, member of the AOH, Jack Kehoe, Division #1, life member of Rangers Hose Company Knights of Columbus and American Legion all of Girardville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Dolores Corrigan Wayne, his son Raymond Wayne and brothers; Henry and Kenneth Wayne.
Ray is survived by his wife of 23 years Rose Ann Cress Wayne, daughter Maryann Wayne, New York, his brother Joseph Wayne, Girardville, Step-children; Kathleen Stepuliatis, Jacksonville Beach, FL, James Burke, Ashland, Elizabeth Roberts, Frackville and Kristin Murphy, Smithsburg, MD, his step-grandchildren; Katelyn, Joey,Greg, Michael, Avery,Caden,Kailey Ryan and Nolan, step-great-grandchildren;Garhett, Theodore and Noah also by several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Vincents Catholic Church, Girardville, with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 8:30 until 9:30 on Tuesday morning at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville.

Betty A. Schreiner, 93, of Tower City, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, July 27, 2023 at her granddaughter Heather's home, where she has resided for the last 12 years.
Born in Muir, July 21, 1930, a daughter of the late John and Emma Wagner Eisenacher. She was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.
Betty was a retired seamstress from JE Morgan Knitting Mills.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City.
Betty enjoyed puzzles, board games, cards, and gardening. Being surrounded by family brought her the greatest joy. Family was everything to Betty.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Chick" Schreiner, August 1, 1993; two sisters, Emily Umholtz, Ruth Doughtry; two brothers, Norman Eisenacher, and Harold Maurer.
Surviving are her four children, Bob Schreiner and his wife Kim, Tower City, Cathy Schreiner, Harrisburg, Donna Snyder, Tower City, and Brad Schreiner and his wife Vickie, Tower City; nine grandchildren, Shelia Schreiner, Melissa Bracken, Bob Schreiner Jr., Dawn Jones, Evan White, Alison White, Heather Estes, Lacie Luddy, and Amber Delligatti; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
Betty will be laid to rest privately in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating.
