The charred remains of the store had remained after the store was engulfed by flames and smoke during the fire on April 3rd, 2023.
Several messages over the past several months have gone unanswered from the company on what was being done at the location.
Earlier this week, machines arrived, and work began as 2 machines began to pull apart and separate the steel from the destroyed store's contents.
According to Shenandoah Fire Chief Rick Examitas, no cause has been determined. The Pennsylvania State Police are assisting with the investigation.
