GIRARDVILLE - On Tuesday evening, Girardville residents gathered for a celebration of community togetherness and safety awareness during this year's National Night Out event.
Hosted at the Ranger's Hose Company, the event was a success, bringing together various local entities in a show of unity and shared commitment to public safety. Joining the Ranger's were the Girard Hose Company, Girardville Police, Girardville Road Crew, and Ashland's Washington Ambulance.
Girardville Mayor Judith Mehlbaum also joined to meet and talk with the residents of the borough.
Attendees had the chance to tap into their creative side at the badge design station, where colorful designs sprang to life. The fire safety trailer, led by Girardville Fire Chief Frank Zangari, ensured families are well-prepared in case of emergencies.
One of the highlights was the turn out gear station, where participants got a hands-on experience with the equipment that local firefighters use during their heroic duties.
Families and individuals alike had the unique opportunity to explore fire and emergency apparatus up close, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the remarkable work carried out by first responders. Additionally, the borough's road crew equipment was on display.
