SCHUYLKILL COUNTY – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming road maintenance projects in Schuylkill County that are scheduled to take place next week.
Interstate 81 Crack Sealing
Starting from August 21, 2023, through August 22, 2023, PennDOT Maintenance Forces will be conducting crack sealing operations on Interstate 81. The affected stretch lies between Exit 131 (PA 54) and Exit 138 (PA 309), in Mahanoy and Delano Townships. During the maintenance hours from 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM, lane restrictions will be in place, potentially causing traffic delays in the area.
Route 209 Paving Project in Pottsville
A paving project is set to continue on Route 209 within the City of Pottsville next week. PennDOT Maintenance Forces will conduct paving work between Center Street and 12th Street.
PA 61 North Paving in Saint Clair
In St. Clair Borough, PennDOT Maintenance Forces will undertake paving operations on PA 61 North from Ann Street to Terry Rich Blvd. Starting from August 21, 2023, and projected to finish by August 22, 2023, a northbound lane restriction will be enforced. Motorists should anticipate delays during the work hours from 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
