Dr. Donald R. Green DPM, 77, of Fountain Springs passed away Wednesday evening August 9th at Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.Born in Girardville, he was the son of the late Anna (Williams) and Russell Green.
He graduated from Lower Dauphin High School in 1964. Donald then went to Ursinus College for his undergraduate. He then finished his education at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine.
Donald was a well-known Podiatrist in Ashland for over 30 years.
He is the husband of Barbara E. (Albright) Green, they have been married since 1970.
He was of the Protestant faith and was longtime member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Gordon. He served on various leadership roles within the church and served as a substitute organist and pianist. Donald was a member of Ashland Rotary, Ashland Masonic Lodge #294, Schuylkill Choral Society and Ashland Area Community Choir. He enjoyed music, traveling and trips to the beach.
In addition to his parent’s he is preceded in death by; brother-in-law Russell Albright; nephew Alex Albright; aunt Emily Williams; aunt Blanche Wychunas.
Surviving are spouse Barbara E. Green, Fountain Springs; son R. Scott Green (Kathleen), Nescopeck; daughter Heather Jones (Evan), Allentown; 2 granddaughters Alyssa & Kelsey Green, Nescopeck; nephew Mark Albright (Denise), Glen Mills.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 19th at 10:30 AM at Simpson United Methodist Church, 119 Biddle St, Gordon PA. A visitation for family and friends will be from 9-10:30 AM on Saturday August 19th in the church. Interment be private at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Donald’s memory to Simpson United Methodist Church – Memorial Fund, 119 Biddle St, Gordon PA 17936.

Born in Shenandoah Heights on October 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Luckasavage) Labonski.
Winnie was a 1953 graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights.
On October 27, 1962 in Saint Michael’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Shenandoah she married Ralph “Buzzy” Mohutsky who preceded her in death on April 4, 2006.
Winnie was a devout member of St. Michael’s Church, Shenandoah. She was an integral part of the pierogie fund raising. In addition, she helped serve and cater countless dinners. Winnie was also a religious education instructor for the parish.
She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Winnie was a member of the Cardinal Brennan High School Mothers’ Guild. She worked for the benefit of the school and its students especially when she led the cause to make all new band uniforms. Winnie was the family matriarch and homemaker. She was not only a mother and grandmother to her own children and grandchildren, but also cared for her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews throughout her life.
Winnie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were her two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Nolan Malloy; two brothers, Leonard and Richard Labonski; two sisters, Mildred Post and Helena Reese; and two nephews, Stanley and Clarence Reese.
Surviving are her four children, Melissa Malloy and her husband David of Frackville, Ralph Mohutsky Jr. and his wife Victoria of Alhambra, CA, Michael Mohutsky and his wife Paula of Mountain Top, and Valerie Mohutsky of Shenandoah Heights; seven grandchildren, David Malloy and his wife Kristyn, Abigail Malloy and her fiancé Jack Riegel, Nicholas Malloy, Gabrielle, Michael Jr., Madeline and Maximilian Mohutsky; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Norah Malloy; nieces and nephews, Laura Mealia and her husband Pat, Helen A. Reese, Harry Reese and his wife Barbara, and Lenny Labonski and his wife Mary; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mickey Hendon and her husband Rick, Shea Mealia and his wife Jen, Bernie Hightower and her husband Drew, Fred Mealia and his wife Gina and Bridget Mealia; additional nieces, nephews and their families.
Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Shenandoah with Monsignor Myron Grabowsky, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery in Shenandoah Heights. Viewings will be held at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with Panachyda at 10:30 am in the funeral home.

Rosalind “Roz” Steward, 62, of Mt. Carmel, former Hegins resident, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her residence. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, November 24, 1960, she is the daughter of Catherine “Kay” Mikulak of Ashland, and the late Robert Mikulak Sr. She was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1979. Roz was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Susquehanna Village Living Center, Millersburg, until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mikulak Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 1 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Smallwood, pastor of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene. Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 11 AM until service.
Diane M. Borchick, 74, of McAdoo, passed away on Wednesday evening, surrounded by her loving family, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Suhina) Gronsky.
Prior to retiring from Keystone Credit Union, Hazleton, as a loan officer, Diane was first employed at PPL Electric Utilities.
She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, McAdoo, where she was a longtime choir member, pyrohy maker and active in all church functions.
Diane loved the arts and music, and she could most often be found doing her cross stich or knitting an afghan.
Preceding her in death was her brother John Gronsky.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Louis Borchick; daughter Christine Durso and husband Anthony of Harrisburg; sister-in-law Theresa Gronsky of Bloomsburg; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Monday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. The Rev. Oleh Kuts will celebrate the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s U.C. Church, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Parastas service at 7 p.m.

Winifred L. “Winnie” (Labonski) Mohutsky, 86 of Shenandoah Heights passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by her loving family.Born in Shenandoah Heights on October 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Luckasavage) Labonski.
