Born in Yankton, SD on October 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Oscar & Elva (Nadeau) Sathe.
He was married to Eleanor (Morris) Sathe for 52 years.
Roger was a graduate of Yankton Senior High School, Yankton, SD.
He was a member of St. John's Church of Auburn.
Roger had served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Fred T. Berry during the Vietnam War.
He worked at Omnova as a color matcher for 41 years.
Roger was a life member of the Auburn VFW, & Auburn Fire Company. He was also a member of the Auburn Game & Fish, & Landingville Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Christopher Sathe, Pottstown, daughter, Stephanie Aulenbach, wife of Ryan, Exeter, and newborn grandson, Hudson Charles Aulenbach. Roger is also survived by three siblings: Ronald Sathe, IA, Beverly Freng, TX, & Joseph Sathe, SD, and nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by three siblings: Lorraine Hoopes, Alan Sathe, & Joann Sergott.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22nd at 10:30 AM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
Private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

James J. Hoover, 86, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday evening, August 15, 2023.
Born in Tremont, February 24, 1937, a son of the late William and Albenia Shandri Hoover. Jim was a 1955 graduate of Tremont High School.
Jim was a lifelong truck driver, working until the age of 82. He was last employed by Ash Resources, Schuylkill Haven.
Jim was a United States Marine Veteran.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a business member of the Pennsylvania Sheriff's Association. He was also a member of several local fire companies.
Jim enjoyed watching racing, especially NASCAR and Indy, and he was the driver of the 3-A race car in the 60s. In his younger years, he could often be found hunting. He especially enjoyed making family, friends, and even complete strangers laugh with all the stories he told and will be remembered mostly for that and his love of driving an 18-wheeler for over 60 years.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Scott Hoover, 2021; two brothers, Joe and Gerald Hoover; two sisters, Theresa Hertz and Dorothy Gessler.
Surviving are his two daughters, Tina Joseph and her husband Nick, Pine Grove, and Jill Johns and her husband Tedd, Tower City; eight grandchildren, Alana Schneck, Rachel Joseph, Vanessa and Lexi Johns, Melissa Reynolds, and Dustin, Matthew, and Adam Hoover; seven great grandchildren, Cody, Cole, Lillian, Desirae, Isaac, Keegan, and Ty; two sisters, Irma Pothering, Tremont, and Ann Ege, Brookhaven; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date.

Helene D. Radley, 76, of Lake Harmony, passed away Wednesday, surrounded by her loving family, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born May 10, 1947 in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Skasko) Mulik.
Helene graduated from Hazleton High School in 1965 and went on to attend nursing school in Reading.
Prior to retiring, Helene was a registered operating room nurse at Hazleton General Hospital for over 40 years, and also the proprietor of Carbon Crest Personal Care Home, Hudsondale.
She was a member of St. Michael’s B.C. Church, McAdoo.
Helene loved traveling over the years, especially to the Caribbean, and was fortunate enough to be able to see all 50 states. She enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends at Lake Harmony.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death was her brother Peter R. Mulik, and her parents Peter and Helen.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Wayne K. Radley; daughter Denise Hanas and husband Matthew, of Danvers, Mass.; grandchildren Benjamin and Madeleine Hanas; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Monday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. The Rev. Gregory Hosler will celebrate the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s B.C. Church, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Drums.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
