Beverly Ann Smith, 77, formerly of Hamburg, passed away Thursday, August 17th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on August 26, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Elizabeth (Hillman) Kohler.
Beverly was a child of God; as she was of the Christian faith.
She was a homemaker and then worked several jobs including operating a cleaning service and in the cafeteria at JDM.
In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Corby.
She is survived by three daughters: Deborah Hollenbach, wife of Richard Hollenbach II, of Hatfield; Linda Burkert, of Leesport; & Pauline Smith, of Schuylkill Haven; and a son,Richard, husband of Bobbi Jo Smith, of New Ringgold. Beverly is also survived by grandchildren: Richard Hollenbach, III, Jonathan Hollenbach, Dana Dunkel, Joshua Dunkel, Jason Burkert, Rebecca Burkert, Jennifer Aungst, Heather Showers, Rikki Lynn Smith Deibert, and Abigail Smith; and great grandchildren, Corey Lynn Dunkel, Madison Dunkel, Hailey Dunkel, and Colton Deibert.
Services are private at the convenience of family.

Sheree K. Manbeck, 71, of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in the Hershey Medical Center.
Born on June 22, 1952 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Arthur "Bob" and Betty Ditzler McCue.
She was a 1970 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of St. Paul's UCC, Ravine.
Sheree worked as a secretary for various organizations, but her favorite job was being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Joseph H. Manbeck, Jr. of Tremont; a son, David Manbeck of Harrisburg; a daughter, Jennifer; four grandchildren, Alexander Manbeck, Emalee Manbeck, Connor Jaynes, and Kalib Schwartz.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Craig Kramer officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Manbeck's Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 244 Tremont Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
Orva E. Krause, 94, of Natures Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.
Born on January 12, 1929 in Orwigsburg, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Edith Dietrich Reed.
She was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School
Orva was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She loved gardening, doing crafts and sewing.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 61 years, Robert F. Krause; two brothers, Oliver Reed and Francis Reed.
Surviving are her son David and wife Elizabeth Krause; a granddaughter Kristen and husband John McMillin; all of Pine Grove; two brothers, Clifford Reed of Bethlehem, Jay Reed of Mullica Hill, NJ; a sister Faye Baranowsky of Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with John Ries officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Hetzel's Lutheran Church, 233 Hetzel's Church Rd., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.

Claire is survived by her two daughters: Darlene "Enie" Murphy, Harrisburg; Sharon and her husband Brenton Hake, Lancaster; her sister, Theresa Harkins, Shenandoah; her grandchildren: Michael (Alva) Dura, Matt (Ana) Dura, Mark Dura, Emily(Franklin) Massie, Adam (Allie) Hake, Patrick and Timothy Murphy; her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Frances, Hugo, Whit and Pearl; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 25th at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. Ann’s Church) 49 N. Line Street Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow in Holy Ascension Orthodox Cemetery, Frackville.

Mary Ann Strenkoski, 82, of Branch Township, passed away on Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Schuylkill.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late George “Speedy” Dronick and the late Mary (nee Plesnarski) Dronick. She attended St. Nicholas Parochial School and Minersville High School before graduating from Nativity B.V.M. in 1958. She also earned her business degree from Goldy-Beacom College.
After graduating from college, she started her career as an administrative assistant for the former ALCOA Aluminum, Cressona. After several years of raising her children, she reentered the workforce as a Secretary to the Principal of Duncott Elementary School, and then became a Remedial Reading Teacher in the Catholic schools in the Minersville area. Mary Ann last served as a Teacher’s Aide at Intermediate Unit 29 for 35 years. Throughout her career, she impacted the lives of many students in Schuylkill County.
Mary Ann also served as an Auditor for Branch Township for more than 20 years. After retiring, Mary Ann enjoyed "snowbirding" in Florida with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed celebrating holidays with the ethnic traditions of her family.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish, of Minersville, and worshipped at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Hudson, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Walter, in 2013; two sisters, Rosalie McLoughlin and Jane Novinger.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Robert Laughlin (spouse, Lydia), Branch Township, Kathleen Benyak (spouse, George), North Manheim Township, and Jacqueline Price (spouse, Robert), Snead’s Ferry, NC; six grandchildren, Valerie Broody (spouse, John), Nicole Kilpatrick, Rachel Imschweiler, Samantha Kinsel (spouse, Michael), Catheryn Taylor (spouse, Jack) and Gabrielle Benyak; seven great-grandchildren, Charles Broody, Patrick Broody, Austin Imschweiler, Lillian Kinsel, Michael Kinsel, Portlyn Kinsel and Hannah Kinsel. She is also survived by two remaining siblings, Geraldine Whiteash, Minersville, George “James” Dronick (spouse, Denise), Pottsville, a brother-in-law, Daniel Strenkoski, Ashland, nieces and nephews.
The family will accept visitors on Monday, August 28, from 8:00 A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 539 Sunbury Street, Minersville. Visitation will end promptly at 9:45 A.M. in preparation for Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Branch Township. The family would prefer to honor Mary Ann's service in education by memorial donations to Special Olympics and Avenues of PA, which can be made at the funeral home. Dutcavich Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Faye Y. English, 80, of Tower City, passed away Friday morning, August 18, 2023, at Heritage Mills Personal Care Center, Tower City.
Born in Joliett, July 9, 1943, a daughter of the late George and Ruth Bendigo Miller. Faye attended Porter Tower High School until the 11th grade. She then moved with her family to Reading and graduated from Reading High School.
Faye was retired from Gold Mills/Guillford Mills, Pine Grove, where she was employed for 38 years.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City.
Faye enjoyed her trips to the casino and had a love for sweets. Above all else, her family, especially her grandchildren, were her world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James "Nuff" English, 2018; brothers, Guy, Clair, Marvin, and James Miller; sisters, Audrey Brosius, and Lois and Alice Boyer.
Surviving are her two children, James English, Jr., and his wife Angie, York, and Heather Hershey and her husband Kemp, Lititz; her beloved grandchildren, James English and his wife Krissy, Jacob English, Hannah English, Benjamin Hershey and his wife Hannah, and Brynn Hershey; great grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, and Mark English; one sister, Joy Morgan, Valley View; a sister-in-law, Edith Dreisigacker, Tower City; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 10-11. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Donna Marie Miller, 79, of Tremont, passed away Saturday morning, August 19, 2023 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
Born in Pottsville on February 25, 1944, a daughter of the late Stanley and Florence Carter Boyer. She was a 1962 graduate of the former Tremont High School.
Donna was a retired home health aide.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Becher.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Miller-Graeff, Tremont; a brother, William Boyer, Valley View; two grandchildren, Lacie Sampson, Pine Grove and Brent Becher, Ashland; five great grandchildren, Rayna, Hollynn, Blake, Averleigh and Harper.
Following Donna's wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest privately in the Most Blessed Trinity Cemetery, Tremont.

Bradd A. Herb, age 49, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was born on Thursday, July 18, 1974, in Pottsville, PA, a son of Eugene "Pete" L Herb and Mitzie R Green Herb.
He was an Inventory Control Specialist for Auto Zone Distribution Center, Hazleton. He was a simple, quite, hard working man who never missed a day of work. Bradd was an avid hunter, gardener and Phillies fan and enjoyed going to Sprint Car races. He enjoyed spending time with his adored Westies, Mildred and Peg and was always up for an adventure with his wife. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene "Pete" L Herb, mother, Mitzie R Herb, brother, Chris L Herb.
Bradd is survived by his loving wife of six years, Jennifer Neye. He is also survived by his dearest step-daughter, Kadie Neye-Wilder of New Milford, CT, whom he raised as his own for the past seventeen years; two sisters, Vicki L (Gregory) Otto of Hegins, Cheryl A (Todd) Daubenspeck of North Carolina.
Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.

Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria Kacelowicz. She worked as a seamstress at the former Model Garment Factory, Frackville until her retirement.
