Eileen Rowland, 95, of Girardville passed away peacefully at Serenity Gardens in Kulpmont early Wednesday morning August 30, 2023.
Born on February 11, 1928 in Frackville she was the daughter of the late Mary (Pelosky) and Anthony Rowland.
She was of the Catholic faith and was a lifelong member of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Girardville.
Eileen graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Girardville. She then graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Reading.
She was a Registered Nurse at the Locust Mountain Hospital-Shenandoah Heights for many years prior to retiring.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister June Ann Rowland in 2008.
She is survived by; caregiver Joseph J. Chiaretti (Rose), Girardville; beloved dog Sadie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 5th at 11:00 AM from St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 260 N. 2nd St, Girardville PA 17935. Interment will follow services at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fountain Springs.

Ronald E. Weiser, 79, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, August 27th, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pine Grove.
Born in Pottsville on July 9, 1944 he was the son of the late Emily (Thomas) and Earl J. Weiser.
Ronald was the widower of Jacqueline Ann (Fisher) Weiser.
After graduation from Schuylkill Haven High School, Ronald was employed as a welder at Dana.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Ronald is survived by two sons, John D., husband of Janet Weiser, of Schuylkill Haven; William K. Weiser, of Auburn; grandchildren, Matt & Mike Weiser; and two sisters, Judy & Cathy.
In addition to his parents & wife, he is also preceded in death by a stillborn son, Matthew Weiser, and brother, Robert Weiser.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 4th at 10:30 AM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Jerusalem Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.

Claudia A. Kreis, 81, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, August 29th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Tremont on June 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Claude & Alma (Scheibley) Felty.
Claudia was the wife of Harold Kreis.
After graduation from Tremont High School, Claudia worked as a homemaker most of her life.
Claudia was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Steve, husband of Pamela Kreis, of Danville; and a daughter, Susan, wife of Marty Blankenhorn, of Schuylkill Haven. She is also survived by grandchildren, Danielle, wife of Tyler, and Zachary; and a great grandson, Forrest.
In addition to her parents, Claudia is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Felty.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Michael Mahala, 64 of Coaldale, Pennsylvania died on Friday, August 25, 2023, at home.
Born Sunday, August 2, 1959 the son of the late John J., and Anna (Philapovich) Mahala.
A Marian High School graduate, Michael had worked for the former Jamesway Department Store for many years. A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, and Father Henry Baker Knights of Columbus 2711 of Coaldale.
