Several hundred homes in Girardville, Butler Township, and West Mahanoy Township are under a water boil advisory after a water main break on Saturday.
According to Aqua, 400 customers of the Shenandoah Water System in those three communities are impacted.
The homes impacted are listed below:
- Girardville - Area of Wildcat Road, North 2nd Street, and Connerton Road
- Lost Creek
- Raven Run
The main break caused a loss of positive water pressure and the boil advisory was issued as a precaution.
As of late Saturday, the main break is being repaired.
The boil advisory is expected to last until at least Monday, August 21st.
