Shenandoah Man Charged for Stealing Tools from Business in Frackville

A Shenandoah man has been charged for stealing tools from a business in Frackville.

According to Chief Paul Olson, on Monday August 21, 2023, around noon, Frackville Police were contacted by a representative of Bova Property Maintenance in regard to a theft of tools from the company.

An investigation revealed a male suspect entered the business warehouse on South Mahanoy Street and took various tools from the business.

The incident was caught on video surveillance.

Pictures of the suspect and his vehicle were posted on social media by family of the business owner, and with the help of members of the public, the suspect was identified Casey Margerum, 32 of Shenandoah.

Margerum was subsequently located, and the tools were able to be recovered, some of which had already been sold to a pawn shop in Pottsville.

As a result of the investigation, a criminal complaint will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli's office, charging Margerum with Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.

Pottsville Police assisted with the investigation.
