On Tuesday, Mrs. T's Pierogies, renowned for their pierogies, revealed that they will not be hosting their annual Community Picnic this year. This event has been a tradition where the company opens its doors to the public for a day filled with free fun, food, and entertainment.
A statement released by Mrs. T's Pierogies expressed their nostalgia for the event and their intention to transform it into a milestone celebration for the company's anniversaries in the future.
"The return of our Community Picnic in 2022 was the perfect way to celebrate our 70th Anniversary with those around us!" the statement read. "With this realization, Mrs. T’s Pierogies has decided that our Community Picnics will serve as milestone events to celebrate company anniversaries with the community moving forward. We hope to see you in 2027!”
The decision to cancel this year's Community Picnic may come as a disappointment to many who eagerly awaited this annual gathering, but the promise of larger, milestone celebrations in the years to come offers a silver lining.
However, the good news is that Mrs. T's Pierogies is quickly approaching its National Pierogy Day Community Flag Raising event. The public is invited to join this special occasion at Shenandoah Borough Hall on Friday, October 6th, 2023, starting at 10 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the raising of the flag to commemorate National Pierogy Day.
To sweeten the deal, the company is offering an extra incentive for the first 25 community members to arrive at the event – a free gift awaits them as a token of appreciation.
President and Owner of Ateeco Inc. and Mrs. T's Pierogies, Tom Twardzik will be at the event along with Pierogyman.
