Kathy Lee Ahrensfield, 66, of Gordon passed away early Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East.Born in Pottsville on July 29, 1957 she was the daughter of the late Fay (Witmer) and James Deiter.
She was the husband of Henry D. Ahrensfield, they have been married since 1983.
She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Gordon.
Kathy graduated from Williams Valley High School in 1975.
She worked as a seamstress and most recently as a veterinary assistant for the Anthracite Animal Clinic in Lavelle.
Kathy loved all animals especially her 2 dogs Holly & Lilly and bird Emma. She enjoyed trips to the beach, camping and being outdoors. She was very involved with the Gordon Community Music Fest.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; sister Audrey Carl; sister in law Nancy Stantan; niece Tonya Kehler.
Surviving are; husband Henry “Hank” D. Ahrensfield, Gordon; sister in law Donna Kehler (Harold), Atlas; sister in law Trish Wagner (Brian), Atlas; brother in law Joe Ahrensfield (Linda), DenMar Gardens; brother in law Michael Ahrensfield (Tammy) Mount Carmel; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday September 29th at 11:00 am at Simpson United Methodist Church, 119 E. Biddle St, Gordon PA 17936. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday September 29th from 9:30-11:00 AM in the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the church memorial fund or Hillside SPCA Inc, PO Box 233, Pottsville PA 17901.

Jane M. Hoon Harrison, 59, of Natale Court, Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.
Born on May 16, 1964 in Edgemont, Harrisburg Area, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann Stoke Hoon.
She was a graduate of Dauphin County Vo Tech.
Jane enjoyed cooking, going to yard sales, thrift stores and flea markets.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 31 years, Harry "Butch" Harrison, Jr. in 2021; and two brothers, Benjamin Hoon and Roger Hoon.
Surviving are a daughter, Jane Slaseman; a son Charles Harrison; grandchildren; a brother Earl Hoon; mother-in-law Virginia Williams Harrison; sisters-in-law, Virginia Harrison and Loretta Lynn Diffenderfer; two brothers-in-law, Richard "Dickie" and wife Margaret Harrison, William "Judge" and wife Stella Harrison; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Alpheus Fisher officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, September 25, 2023 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory to help with expenses.

David Hartz, 69, of Main Street, Locustdale, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his residence.
The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, will announce funeral arrangements.
