A Shenandoah man is facing charges after a domestic incident in the borough on Tuesday.
According to court papers, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, around 5:30pm, Shenandoah Police Office Hysock and Clinton were dispatched to a home on West Oak Street for a report of a domestic.
At the scene, police made contact with a female that said she got into an argument with 38-year-old Froilan Fabian. During the argument, Fabian allegedly grabbed her around the neck with both hands and slammed her on the ground onto her back.
The female showed bruising consistent of what she described.
Fabian wasn't home at the time when police arrived, but while at scene, he returned and was taken into custody.
He was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, on charges of strangulation and simple assault and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
