An Ashland man was transported to the hospital with injuries after a crash on Interstate 81 on Sunday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 4:45pm on Interstate 81 northbound near milemarker 112 in Foster Township.
Troopers say Jeffrey Zeplin, 60, of Ashland was traveling northbound in a Chevrolet Suburban when for unknown reasons, travelled off the right side of the highway and crashed into several small trees and bushes before overcorrecting and traveling across the northbound lanes.
He then drove through the grass center median and proceeded north in the southbound lanes, before striking an embankment, disabling his vehicle.
Zeplin was suspected of sustaining minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital via Tremont Ambulance.
State Police say charges are pending the investigation into the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Donaldson Fire Company, Tremont Fire Company, and Tremont Ambulance.
