Barry Decker
, 87, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Sunday, October 8th, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Barry was born in Mahanoy City, PA on April 17, 1936, a son of the late Virginia (Shiner) and Clem Decker.

He graduated from Mahanoy City High School class of 1954 and attended Villanova.

He was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He retired from American Tobacco Co. as Director of Manufacturing and worked also for the PA turnpike as a bridge and materials inspector.

He was the husband of the late Nancy (Rajkowski) Decker.

Barry is survived by two daughters, Linda Decker, of Cressona; Diane Decker, of Northampton; a son, Barry Decker, of Mahanoy City; and by a sister, Virginia, wife of Robert Nahas, of Wayne NJ. a brother, Thomas Decker, of New York City; and by 2 Grandchildren Chris Decker and his wife Nicole, Courtney and her husband Joe Tamagini. 1 Great Grandchild Sophia Decker.

He is preceded in death by his Grandson Cody Decker.

Services are private at the convenience of family.

Interment at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.

Harold Philip Long, 85, of Auburn, passed away Monday, October 9th, at home.

Born in Port Clinton on December 14, 1937, he was the son of the late Mary Margaret (Stauffer) and Harold Frederick Long.

Harold was the husband of Geraldine W. (Kimmel) Long.

He was a member of Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg.

Harold was employed at Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center, Shoemakersville.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by a son, Philip Long, of Carlisle; two step sons, Matthew, husband of Ashley Morrison, of Orefield; and Mark, fiancé of Libby Morrison, of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Peyton; step grandchildren, Liam, Ellie, Kaiden, and Scarlett; and great granddaughter, Bailee.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth George and his infant brother, David Long.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 16th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven with Pastor Bill Orff officiating. A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM until the time of services.

Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.

Herman W. Clauser, Sr.
, 83, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday, October 9th, at home.

Born in Wayne Township on August 30, 1940, he was a son of the late Paul & Luella (Schaller) Clauser.

He was married to his wife of 61 years, Nancy M. (Hughes) Clauser.

Herman was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn, and attended Faith Worship Center, Orwigsburg.

Herman was self-employed as the owner/operator of the former Pink House and Bridge's Restaurant & Market. He had also worked as an insole cutter at Walk In Shoe Co.

He was a member of the F&AM Schuylkill Lodge #138, Blue Lodge, and Thursday Men's Golf Group. Herman was a 25 Year Member of Friedensburg Fire Company.

He was drummer in 3 bands: Gems, Fanthem, & Hot Peppers.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three grandchildren: Diona Sterner & husband, Wade, Friedensburg, Nick Adams, Orwigsburg, & Justin Clauser & wife, Kelly, Cressona, four great-grandchildren: Ella, Kiyah, Jett, & Maci, two sisters: Fern Krause, of Hazleton; & Elaine Krause, of Harrisburg; and a brother, Richard L. Clauser, of Wayne Township, and nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, Herman is also preceded in death by his son, Herman W. Clauser, Jr., daughter, Sheri M. Clauser Adams, sister, Jeanette Krammes, & brother, Paul Clauser, Jr.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 13th at Faith Worship Center, Orwigsburg, with Pastor Doug Cresswell officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.

Interment will follow at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.

Frances E. Yanonis, 82, of Ringtown, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at her home.

Born in Shenandoah on February 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (McGarry) Yanonis.

Frances was a 1959 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School. She worked in production for Mrs’s T’s Pierogies for 30 years until her retirement. Frances enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, and reading.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Yanonis, and a sister, Elizabeth Krupilis.

Surviving family include 2 brothers, James Yanonis of Ringtown, Stephen Yanonis of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 8:30 to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be conducted at 10am in the funeral home by Fr. Dominic Pham. Burial will immediately follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Kathren M. "Katie" Adams, 42, of Wade, North Carolina, formerly of Tower City, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at her home.

Born in Harrisburg, February 10, 1981, a daughter of Virginia Mione Reho, Tower City, and the late Steven Reho. Katie was a 1999 graduate of Williams Valley High School, where she excelled in sports.

Katie was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her children, Robbie Adams and Keyara Merwine, both of Tower City; six siblings, Matt Brennan, Tower City, Theresa Hepner, Philadelphia, Kelley Masarik, Tower City, Kristina Reho, Wiconisco, Kim Schreiner, Tower City, and Kelly Reho, Middletown; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11-12.

, 74, of Main Street Ashland, passed away, Monday, October 9, 2023, at her residence.
