Samuel Atanasio, Sr., 90, a 23-year resident of New Ringgold, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, died Thursday, Oct 19th at Geisinger St. Lukes Hospital, Orwigsburg.He was born March 24, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Alberto and Eusebia Ruiz Atanasio.
He was a navy veteran having served during the Korean War.
He was employed by Mount Sinai Hospital, New York prior to retiring.
Sam was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Cressona.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Ortiz Atanasio; a sister, Marie Atanasio.
Surviving are a son Samuel Atanasio, Jr.; a daughter, Eunice Atanasio; 3 grandchildren, Laila Lane, Lorenzo, and Lillyanna Celstino; 2 brothers, Israel and Daniel Atanasio; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 10:30AM, Monday, Nov 6th, at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 9:30AM until the time of services. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Born on November 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Frances (Harbaczewski) Dereskiewicz of Shenandoah, PA.
Preceding her in death were her husband, George C. Brauns, Jr., her sister, Irene Rabada, her brother, Daniel Dereskiewicz, and her son-in-law, Robin Dhoble. Chris is survived by her six children: Susan Dhoble, Scott Brauns (Paula), Steven Brauns (Lynn), Stacey Shanahan (Peter), Stephanie Brauns, and Sharyn Brauns. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Allison (Dhoble) Heyman (Brett), Trevor and Emily Dhoble, Taylor (Carla) and Austin Brauns, Camryn and Carsyn Brauns, Kyle and Evan Shanahan, Samantha, Téa and Tyler Gilbert, her great-grandson, Rory Heyman, her niece, Tracy (Rabada) Yocum (Jack) and great-nephew, Brayden Yocum.
Christine loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren over the years. She moved to Philadelphia, PA following high school, to Levittown, PA after marriage and eventually spent most of her years in Warrington, PA. She was a full-time mom for many years before re-entering the workforce. She retired in 1997 from her position with the Probation Department for the County of Bucks.
Chris was a very creative person, often winning prizes for her artwork while at Neshaminy Manor, and spent many hours completing Adult Coloring Books. She was an excellent seamstress and especially loved making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, as well as adorable Raggedy Ann dolls and other crafts. Chris also enjoyed playing the lottery, reading, puzzles, listening to music, laughing and her most guilty pleasure: the gossip magazines.
Religious services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin Street, Shenandoah with Reverend Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Alice was born in Pottsville on June 24, 1936, a daughter of the late William and Juanita (Sanders) Wingert . She was a graduate of the Pottsville High School.
Alice worked as a clerk for Raudenbush bakery, but also for many years as a CNA at Manor Care in Pottsville. Her compassion for those she cared for was evident not only in her work ethic, but in her faith, as she was a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.
When not working, Alice enjoyed listening to Pottsville High football games on the radio, watching TV gameshows, assembling jigsaw puzzles, listening to country as well as polka music and playing bingo and slots. She loved angels and the Christmas season.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Eisenhart in 1976, and by brothers, William Wingert Jr. and Bud Sanders and sister Jane Diebert.
Alice is survived by her seven children, Charles Eisenhart, and his wife Margaret; William Eisenhart; Sharon, wife of Dave Fessler; Norman Eisenhart; Keith Eisenhart and his significant other, Kim Martino; Crystal Eisenhart and fiancée Dennis Fredericks; and Jim Eisenhart and his wife Maria. She is also survived by two sisters, Sara, wife of Jerry Stephens and Grace Schock; and a brother Jim Wingert and his wife Nancy.
Alices' memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Kyle, Charles, Cory, David, Amanda, Kimberly, Justin, Charlie, Nicole, Brady and Alexa, and her five great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville on Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chris Rothharpt. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:00 AM till the time of the service at the funeral home. Alice will be laid to rest at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, immediately following the service.
