David Joseph Oliva, infant son of Timothy and Karen (Kurzinsky) Oliva of Barnesville, became an angel on October 6th. He was preceded in death by an infant brother Thaddeus Oliva. In addition to his parents, he is survived at home by a sister Eve and a brother Maverick.
Additional survivors include his grandparents Dr. David and Maureen Kurzinsky and Joseph and Lynn Oliva all of Barenesville, Great grandparent Patricia Nolan of Mahanoy City, aunts Krystle Kane and her husband James, Megan Taylor and her husband Patrick, and Jacqueline Strus and her husband Casey, uncle Randy Kurzinsky and his partner Jasmine, cousins Teagan and Declan Kane, Jordan and Hudson Taylor, Brooks Kurzinsky and Carter Strus.
Services will be privately held.

Terry L. "Itch" Witmer, 74, of Tower City, passed away Saturday night, October 7, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Tower City, July 19, 1949, a son of the late Kenneth and Mae Gongloff Witmer.
Itch was retired from Lowes Distribution Center.
Itch was a member of the Muir, Sheridan and Donaldson Fire Companies. He was a fan of NASCAR racing, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything, even having his own "Witmers Tinker Shop" in his basement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, William "Billy" Witmer and Justin Witmer; two brothers William C. and Kenneth Witmer; a sister Judy Rutledge.
Surviving are his wife whom he spent the last 38 years with, Barb A. Fisher Witmer; four children, Terry Witmer, Jr., (Ashley English), Tower City, Michael Bender, Muir, Amanda Brancato (Sal), Harrisburg and Jessica Fairburn (Kevin), Tower City; six grandchildren, Brandon Witmer, Skylynn Bender, Maximus Brancato, Brayden, Ethan, and Brynlee Fairburn; a step granddaughter, Kiana Chiles; a sister Bonnie Ruch (Franklin), Tower City; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Amanda Bressler officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations in Itch's name should be made to the Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg PA 17110 or the Muir Fire Company, Church Street, Muir, PA 17957.
George K. Ferree, Jr., 75, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lock Haven, December 2, 1947, a son of the late George Sr., and Thelma Shirk Ferree. He was a graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School, Millhall.
George was a retired truck driver from Yellow Freight. After retirement, he worked as a school bus driver for the Cornwall Lebanon School District.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic. He enjoyed his road trips, family vacations to Myrtle Beach, going out to eat at diners, and loved animals.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Judy C. Moore Ferree; three children, Lisa Daly (Doug Whitehead), Harrisburg, Randy Ferree (Jessica), Lebanon, and Karen Galiano (William), Lancaster; five grandchildren, Shasta, Shandel, Skyler, Shay, and Lexis; three brothers, Larry Ferree (Quentin), Millhall, Gary Ferree (Vicky), Avis, and Thomas Ferree (Janet), Kutztown; a sister, Mary Ann Ferree, Beach Creek; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be announced at a later date.

Louis A. Fisher, 70, of Zion Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8th, 2023.
Louis was born in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Levi and Carolyn (Fritz) Fisher.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Prior to retirement, he worked at Jeld-Wen in Ringtown and previously at Kawneer in Bloomsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
Louis is survived by his wife, Linda (Vidito) FIsher. He is also survived by a brother, David, and sisters, Virginia Rupert, Evelyn Hess, Lucielle Ruckle and Joan Davis.
In accordance with his wishes, a private memorial service will be held by his family at a later date.

Eileen Teter, of Zion Grove, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born on January 28, 1947, in Ringtown, a daughter of the late John and LaRue (Hart) Ambrose.
Eileen's journey through life was marked by meaningful moments and dedicated service. She graduated from the former Ringtown High School in 1964, embarking on a path that would lead to a fulfilling career as a teller at the M&T Bank's Ringtown Branch office, where she worked for over 18 years until her retirement.
Eileen was a woman of faith and a cherished member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid group and a former member of the church council.
She was a member of the Ringtown Senior Citizens, and her interests ranged from reading to crocheting and sewing. Eileen was known for her love of card games and had a particular fondness for watching "Jeopardy", which became a shared family tradition.
Eileen's life was not without its share of challenges, but she faced them with strength and resilience. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald, in 1999, as well as her two granddaughters, Kirby's daughters -Amber and Cassandra, and her sister, Diane Primrose.
Eileen's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving children: Kyle and his wife Daria of Sinking Spring; Jody "Schroeder" of Zion Grove; Kirby and his wife Janet of Shenandoah Heights; Georgine, wife of Edward Miley of Leesport; and Travis and his wife Mandy of Ringtown. Her legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and the anticipation of another great-grandchild.
Eileen is also survived by her sister, Janice Wasser, and two brothers, William Ambrose and John "Bugsy" Ambrose, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12th at St. John's Lutheran Church, located on West Main Street in Ringtown. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Craig Zimmerman, will begin at 11:00 AM. Eileen will be laid to rest next to her husband Donald at the Mt. Zion Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ringtown Area Library in honor of Eileen's passion for reading and community enrichment.
