Rita Marie Wolfe, age 84 passed away after a brief illness on Sunday October 8th, 2023.

Rita was born in St Clair on September 16, 1939, the daughter of Michael Charnak and Elizabeth (née Paulin). Rita was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and is survived by her husband of many happy years, William “Billy” Wolfe. Rita was preceded in death by her first husband Vincent F. Ferraiolo, with whom she had a daughter Tina and son Vincent J. Ferraiolo. Rita was the last surviving member of her siblings, Mary, Margaret, Anna, Michael and Dorothy. She was a vivacious, kind, caring and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved, cooking, tending her garden, watching the birds, growing tomatoes, flower arranging, and spending precious time with family, friends and high school classmates. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by husband Billy, daughter Tina, Son Vincent, grandsons Brandon and Josh and her loving Airedale Scruffy.

A memorial service will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday at 10:30. 

A visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.

Darcie Louise Trotman
, beloved mother, precious daughter, doting Gi-Gi, formerly of Lansford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the home of her companion Kevin Toth in Slatington surrounded by the love of her family.

Born Tuesday, February 26, 1974 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She was predeceased by; her father, Barry Snyder, and husband, Edward W. Trotman.

Surviving are; mother, Elizabeth (Reekie) Snyder of Lansford; son, Tylor E. Trotman and his wife Zoe of Virginia; daughter, Elizabeth M. Trotman of Lansford; sister, Pamela Snyder - Hahn of San Angelo, TX.; brother, Gavin Snyder and his wife Bobbie of Tucson AZ; granddaughters, Aubrey Trotman, and Victoria Trotman.

A 1992 graduate of Panther Valley High School, Darcie was a hard worker last working at Elk Lighting in Hometown. Darcie fought a courageous battle against cancer, using her sense of humor to navigate the hardships she and her family faced. Some saw her humor as sarcastic; however, she illuminated kindness to all. Darcie had the ability to see things in many ways, imaginative, she could repurpose anything. Meticulous, Darcie liked doing crafts, wood working, enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Darcie looked forward to the holidays, cooking, and baking for her family. Darcie's contagious spirit was shown through her love of dancing. She was proud of her Scottish Heritage.

A Celebration of Darcie's Life will be held on Friday evening October 13, 2023 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Derric D. Ney
, beloved dad, son, grandson, fiancee, and brother; age 41, of Hegins, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. He was born on Monday, October 12, 1981, in Pottsville, PA, a son of Vincent Ney and Staci Harman Ney. He was a employed at Thermo Fisher, Millersburg

He was also a member of St Paul's Evangelical Church in Pitman, the Valley View Gun Club, coached girls basketball for Tri-Valley elementary, was a little league umpire. Derric enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and loved going up to Elk County. He was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Eagles. Derric was his childrens hero, fishing and hunting buddy, he was their biggest supporter and he loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Emma Ney.

He is survived by his fianicee, Hope Moyer; children, Harmoney, Brianna, and Damion Ney; sister, Bambi and husband Jared Maurer; maternal grandparents, Charles and Darlene Harman; god son, Zalen Williard, god brother Justin Ney, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at Zion Evangelical Church, Pitman, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Todd Wolfe officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at Zion Evangelical Church.

Melissa L. Bear
, 29, of Ashland, passed away Sunday September 17th at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Westwood NJ on March 8, 1994 she was the daughter of Edward Rush Sr. and the late Dorothy Molion.

Melissa was of the Christian faith.

She was a homemaker for her 5 children whom she loved dearly after attending high school.

Melissa is survived by; father Edward Rush Sr. (Samantha Melber), Shenandoah; brother Michael Rush; sister Lauren Rush; Samantha Cash; brother Joseph Rush; brother Edward Rush Jr.; brother Daymein Rush; 5 children Leilonnie, Rashean, Rylee, Rue & King; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.

Services will be held privately at the family’s request.
