On Monday, October 16, 2023, the Tri-Valley Lions Club honored Emma Shadle as their October 2023 Outstanding Student of the Arts.
Emma was selected for her talent in the areas of Instrumental Music and Art.
Emma is the daughter of Corey and Jennifer Shadle, and they reside in Hegins, PA. She is a senior at Tri-Valley High School in the academic curriculum. She shared she plays bells and various other instruments since the fourth grade. She shared with members and visitors present various art projects including oil, watercolor, and pencil pictures/drawings along with several pieces of jewelry and a ceramic jewelry holder, all of which she plans to include in her portfolio for college.
Throughout her high school career, she participated in band, varsity soccer, track & field, archery, National Honor Society, and German Honor Society. Her activities outside of school include singing in the choir and is very active in her church, Christ UCC Church. For honors, Emma has served as section pit leader in band, Honors Band, Junior High County Band for 2 years, Senior High County Band for the past 2 years and plans to apply again this year and served as soccer captain for 2 years.
After graduation Emma plans to attend a 4-year college to study graphic design.
