An Ashland woman is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after an incident on Centre Street on Thursday.
According to court papers, on Thursday morning, around 10:45am, Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley received a call that Sheila Fishburn, 58, of Ashland, was jumping in front of traffic in the 700 Block of Centre Street.
Chief Daley was also aware that Fishburn had an active warrant in Northumberland County for failing to appear in court for burglary charges.
Upon arrival, Chief Daley found Fishburn standing in the middle of Centre Street waving her arms and standing in the path of a tractor trailer.
When she realized police were on scene, she fled back to her nearby apartment building.
Chief Daley followed and was able to take Fishburn into custody inside for the warrant.
For the incident on Centre Street, Fishburn was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli, Frackville, on charges of disorderly conduct and evading arrest on foot. She was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $1,500 straight cash bail.
