In a moving tribute to Veterans Day, where the local VFW and American Legion congregated at the intersection of 5th and Centre Streets. From this point, they solemnly proceeded to the Veterans Memorial at Centre and Hoffman Boulevard.
Commanders from the Ashland VFW and American Legion, along with Mayor Dan Weikel, spoke on the significance of this day dedicated to honoring veterans. Their words resonated with gratitude and respect for those who have served our nation.
A dignified gun salute, followed by the playing of "Taps" paid homage to the sacrifices made by veterans in service to their country.
In the spirit of camaraderie and community, the American Legion extended the commemoration by hosting a luncheon, providing a space for attendees to reflect, connect, and express gratitude for the bravery and commitment of our veterans.
