Downtown Shenandoah Inc. held its annual "Coal Cracker Christmas" program at American Legion Veterans’ Memorial Park Friday evening.
This family friendly event typically ushers in the holiday season by featuring several activities that included the lighting of the Christmas Tree, a Christmas play inspired by the Grinch who stole Christmas and with songs performed by members of the Shenandoah Valley Drama Club.
Other offerings were Santa’s Mailbox, a Horse Drawn Trolley, and a vintage train collection which was displayed at the Shenandoah Ambulance Building, and what would Christmas be without delicious cookies and hot chocolate.
