One person was killed in a crash on Route 901 in Barry Township early Friday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 12:50am, Friday, November 17th, 2023, on Route 901 in Barry Township in the area of the intersection with Black Creek Road.
Troopers say Jerome Derenzo, 31, of Saddle River, NJ was traveling westbound on Route 901 when he lost control of his Chevrolet CK 3500.
The vehicle went off the roadway approximately 60 feet and struck an embankment.
Derenzo was found deceased in the driver's seat and was not wearing his seatbelt.
The victim was pronounced at the scene by the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office.
