Construction crews were at work on Wednesday, rebuilding the Dollar General store that succumbed to a fierce blaze last April at Gold Star Plaza in Shenandoah.
The fire, which obliterated both the structure and its entire inventory, left the community without a Dollar General. Despite a thorough investigation following the demolition in August, authorities were unable to pinpoint the exact cause of the destructive fire.
While Skook News was at the site around noon Wednesdsay, two customers of the store stopped by to see the work taken place and expressed their happiness that the store will be returning.
"I stopped by that store at least once a week. Many of my friends did as well. It will be great to have it back". The patron said.
