MEET THE SCHUYLKILL COUNTY MARCHING BANDS is back, highlighting the Marching Bands from our Schuylkill County School Districts. Next to be featured for the 2023 season is the marching band from Williams Valley, directed by Matthew Paul Haas.

Director Matthew Paul Haas has been a band director for 5 years.

The 2023 Edition of the Viking Pride Marching Band is proud to present this season’s show: “Voyager”. Join us as we follow humanity’s farthest-flung explorers on their Grand Tour of the Solar System - and beyond! We begin in Cape Canaveral and marvel at our home with Richard Saucedo’s "Fanfare for the Third Planet". After countdown and ignition, we blast off with Samuel Hazo’s "Ascend". Before we get too far from home, we swing by our nearest neighbor in Bart Howard’s "Fly Me to the Moon". Finally, we get a boost from the largest planet in Gustav Holst’s "Jupiter" before wandering off to interstellar space.

Major Events Schedule for 2023:

The band performed at the Gratz Fair as well as the North Schuylkill High School Tournament of Bands Adjudication.
