John T. “ Crash “ Kerrigan, 76, Girardville, passed away peacefully Sunday at his residence.Born in Ashland he was a son of the late Martin and Mary Landers Kerrigan. He was a self-employed contractor for Universal Forest and Garden.
He was a US Army veteran of the VietNam War having attained the rank of sergeant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alverda K. “Cookie “Kerrigan, and a brother James “Knuckles “ Kerrigan.
John is survived by his two daughters; Lori A. Kerrigan, Ringtown and Shannon M. Kerrigan O’Connell, Cressona, his step-son Mark and his wife Christy Rainis, Girardville, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Johanna A. “Noon “ Chernewski, 89, Frackville, former Shenandoah resident, passed away peacefully Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown with her family at her side.
Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Gertrude Emma (Nagle) Noon.
She was of the Catholic faith. Johanna was a member of the Frackville American Legion Auxiliary, Frackville Area Senior Citizens and was an avid NY Giants and Notre Dame fan. She was very proud of her Irish Heritage and her favorite holiday was Halloween.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George and also by 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Johanna is survived by four sons; George, Chicago; John and his wife Sandy, Englewood; Robert and his wife Carol, Cressona; Thomas and his wife Pam, Shenandoah; her daughter, Cheryl Ann wife of Darryl Andreas, Barnesville; her brother Michael Noon, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; Johnny, Zack, Amber, Kyle, Kimberly, Harley, Thomas, Christine, Darryl, Sara and Bobby also by 5 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Johanna’s name, be made to Friendship Fire Co., PO Box # 157 Frackville, PA 17931

Rose Marie "Shan" (Umstead) Marek, wife, mother, daughter, sister, nana, of McIntosh Lane Andreas, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, at home surrounded by her family, and precious memories.
Born Saturday, March 26, 1955, in Paterson, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Leonard C. Umstead. Shan was also predeceased by; son, Walt "Dinky" McPhail and brother, Leonard Umstead.
Surviving are: mother, Rosalie (Grainer) Umstead; husband, Mark M. Marek; daughters, Denice L. McPhail and spouse Larry Morris, Lisa McPhail and spouse Rich Fedele; sister, Kimmy Mulik wife of Stephen; brother, Robert Stalter, Jr.; grandchildren, Deziray Morris, Steven Roberts, Tori Fedele, Jamie Fedele, Anna Garzilli; great granddaughter, Rosalie Fedele. Also survived by stepson Kristopher Marek, his spouse Maria; their children Milo and Iris; and stepdaughter Jolene Marek.
Shan worked as a home health aide for many years, until taking care of her mother. An animal lover, she enjoyed the companionship of her dog Duke, while playing the online game "Hay Day" with friends throughout the United States, and Canada. Her favorite movie was “The Wizard of Oz” in which she collected memorabilia from this classic movie. She enjoyed Nascar racing and was a huge fan of Dale Earnhart, Jr.. Devoted to her family, Shan was blessed simply by taking in the view of the West Penn Valley from her front porch, while watching and feeding the birds. If a free Sunday afternoon arrived, she looked forward to visiting with friends at Radical Winery in Lehighton. She was kind, devoted, and made people laugh. Her passing came quickly, and she will be sadly missed by all.

Dolores T. (Radzavage) Bykowsky, 86 of Shenandoah passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, November 18, 2023, at her residence.
Religious services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.
