Karina O'Neill and Michael DeLeon recently visited the Shenandoah Valley School District to share information through a presentation called "Steered Straight" on the perils of drug abuse, with a specific focus on marijuana, fentanyl, E-cigarettes, and alcohol.
Additionally, they addressed the interconnection between drug abuse, bullying, and suicide, among other pressing topics.
The program consisted of four sessions, catering to students across all age groups, from elementary to junior high and high school. An evening program was also organized to engage adults in the community. The impact of this initiative extended beyond the local district, as concerned individuals from neighboring schools and communities also attended.
