Two people were injured in a crash in Hegins Township this week.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred Thursday evening around 7:30p at the intersection of Deep Creek Road and North Good Spring Road.
Troopers say Carl Kramer Jr., 60, of Ashland was traveling west on Deep Creek Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with North Good Spring.
Kramer attempted to correct and turned left but struck a utility pole guy-line.
His vehicle, a Chevrolet Trax sustained minor damage. Kramer was reported to have suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
His passenger, Linda Lahr, 60, of Shamokin was reported to have suffered serious injuries and was transported by Hegins Ambulance to Geisinger.
Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
State Police say they will cite Kramer for the crash.
North Good Spring Road was closed for approximately an hour while the scene was cleared.
