The Greater Schuylkill Haven Area Business Association (GSHABA) hosted its annual children’s Christmas Stroll on Saturday December 2nd. on Main Street in Schuylkill Haven.
Local businesses and churches participated providing craft items, small gifts, hats and sweets to the registered children from Schuylkill Haven.
The weather was dry but cool enough for the children to wear sweaters with reindeer, Santa, snowmen and elves. Many topped off their holiday attire with the decorative head bands provided by GSHABA.
The Boy Scouts of Troop #622 sold hot dogs and offered information on their local programs. Haven area churches: St Ambrose Catholic Church, Haven Baptist Church, First United Church of Christ and First United Methodist of Schuylkill Haven shared good will, carols, ornaments, hot chocolate and crafts.

Schuylkill Hose Company #2 brought their fire truck and gave children a chance to sit in the driver’s seat and Spottsie from the Spotts Insurance Group gave out Christmas hugs.
Santa took Christmas wish orders and hung out at the Little Dipper Ice Cream Shoppe.
It was a perfect day with a record of 75 children participating. All left with smiles and good will in their hearts to start the holiday season.
