In a collaboration aimed at bringing joy to families in need in Schuylkill County, Dustin's Adventureland has partnered with its Main Sponsor, Dollar General Warehouse in Pottsville, and Gold Sponsor, Aaron's of Pottsville, to enhance the impact of their 4th Annual Dustin's Delivers event.
In addition to their 4th Annual Dustin's Delivers event, they are able to help and additional 130 children with gifts and families with 224 meals. They invite those in need to stop by St. Patrick's Kitchen in Pottsvile located at 504 Mahantongo Street, this Saturday from 11am-3pm (or until all items are claimed) to grab a bag of gifts for your children.
To participate, proof of residency and birth certificates for the children are required.
They have limited age brackets available and these age groups and bags available are:
Boy 8-11 (6 available)
Girl 3-6 (65 available)
Boy 3-6 (70 available)
Jeffrey Dunkel, President of Dustin's Adventureland, expressed the growing demand for assistance in the community, emphasizing the organization's commitment to meeting these needs. "We have had record-shattering numbers requesting assistance and meals and are working hard with St Patrick's Kitchen to fulfill all requests," Dunkel stated.
Aaron's Regional Manager, Chester Evans, stressed the importance of supporting families during tough times. "No family should have to go without a meal or presents for their children. There is nothing better than seeing the smiles on the families' faces when Dustin's Delivers Christmas powered by the Aaron's van!" Evans exclaimed.
In its fourth year, the entire Dustin's Delivers event is set to provide meals to over 800 people in need, with over 700 of those meals being delivered to ensure accessibility. Terry Alexander, Director of St. Patrick's Kitchen, emphasized the collaboration's impact on addressing the growing need for holiday assistance in the community.
Dustin's Adventureland and St. Patrick's Kitchen expressed their gratitude to the community for its unwavering support over the years. They acknowledged the vital role played by sponsors such as Dollar General Warehouse, Aaron's, Hexcel, SCI Mahanoy, Hydro, and others, without whom this charitable event would not be possible.
Jeffrey Dunkel concluded, "I cannot go without thanking the dozens of volunteers of all ages that assisted in shopping, wrapping, tagging, bagging, sorting, and organizing the event. It truly takes a village, and we are grateful for the support of our generous community."
