North Schuylkill Elementary Principal Janel Babatsky and Assistant Principal Roobhenn Smith took on the roles of cheerful elves to spread some Christmas joy on Elf on a Shelf Day at the school.
Donned in elf costumes provided by the North Schuylkill Elementary PTO, Babatsky and Smith transformed into Santa's helpers and welcomed students as they were dropped off at school Wednesday morning. The duo stationed themselves at the school's entrance, waving as students disembarked from school buses.
Taking the holiday celebration to new heights, literally, the pair also ventured to the roof of the elementary school, where they continued to spread holiday cheer by waving down to the students below.
Students were also encouraged to dress up as elves as well.
North Schuylkill celebrates the entire month of December holding dress up days for the holidays. Some examples were ugly sweater day, country Christmas, Christmas Movie Character Day and Grinch Day just to name a few.
