She was born March 17, 1928, in Pottsville a daughter of late Roy and Katherine Keen Fox.
She was employed by the former Tilt Silk Mill, Pottsville, prior to retiring.
Pat was of protestant faith and was a Democratic Committee woman for the City of Pottsville. During her time as a committee woman her proudest moment was meeting former Governor Ed Rendell during the City of Pottsville Bicentennial Parade.
She was preceded in death by 7 sisters, Helen Sophy, Doris Fisher, Erma Ebling, Catherine Wallauer, Joan Williams, Betty Ladden, and Arlene Lupkin; 2 brothers, John and Jim Fox.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Patricia Whitaker, Susie Collins and her husband Jim; Cindy Buehler and her husband Jim; Joette Fox, all of Pottsville. 6 grandchildren, Tom and Jamie Whitaker, Erin Collins, Josh Buehler, Alicia Moore, Jen Zvorsky; 7 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sophia, and Olivia Whitaker, Brady and Caroline Moore, Rhys Zvorsky and Harper Buehler; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9AM until the time of services. Interment will follow in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Pat be made to Hillside SPCA, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901 or City of Pottsville Democratic Committee, 610 W. Market St. Pottsville, PA 17901.

Irma M. Pothering, 97, of Tremont, passed away Friday, December 1st, at the home of her daughter, Linda.
Irma was born in BranchDale, Pa. on October 7, 1926, a daughter of the late Albenia (Shandri) and William Hoover. She was the widow of Vincent J Pothering on April 20,1984. She was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Church of Tremont. Irma was a homemaker then in later years was employed as a waitress. Irma was a member of Tremont Womens Club, Card Club, and Ladies Auxiliary at her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Son-in-Law, Russ Rothermel. Brothers; James, Joseph, & Girard Hoover. Sisters; Theresa Hertz & Dorothy Gessler.
Irma is survived by four daughters, Linda Rothermel, of Minersville, Patty, wife of Bill Murphy, of West West Terrace, Jane Pothering-Hahner, of Forest Hill MD. and Mary Louise, wife of Dominic Fanelli, of Sch. Haven.
Irma is also survived by a sister, Ann Ege. Also surviving are Grandchildren; Mitra Toth (Steve ) Meggi Rothermel (Kristy), Jonathan Murphy (Linda) Alexandra, Samuel, & Emma Hahner, Vincent D. Fanelli. Great grandchildren; Luke, Lexi, & Mia Toth, Ari, Eli, & Zoe Murphy. Mom/Nana was very devoted to her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loved to bake and her family always looked forward to her delicious variety of Christmas cookies. She was extremely devoted to her Catholic faith and her love of the Blessed Mother.
All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation with calling hours from 9:00 to 10:45 AM on Friday, December 8th at Most Blessed Trinity Church in Tremont, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr. George Kochuparambil officiating. Interment at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Branch twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital www.stjude.org/donate, St. Joseph Center Scranton www.stjosephscenter.org/donations/ or CHOP https://give2.chop.edu/give.
