William Charles Fritzinger, Sr., 73, of Tamaqua, died on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Coaldale. He was the husband of the late Anna Clausius Fritzinger to whom he was married 43 years at the time of her death in 1987.
Born in Tamaqua on January 9, 1950, Bill was a son of the late Robert Roy Fritzinger and Clara (Houser) Honish. He attended Tamaqua High School and was employed by Atlas and ICI, Reynolds before retiring in 1987. Bill was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua; a member of the Tamaqua Pool League; and a life member of the Tamaqua Elks for which he was a Past Exalted Ruler. Bill was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. His love for cooking was evidenced by his many years of running the Trinity UCCC kitchen, serving dinners for both special events and funerals.
Bill is survived by his children, William D. Fritzinger and his fiancee Danielle Minalda of Barnesville, Jamie Fritzinger, William C. Fritzinger, Jr., Richard Mader, and Chrissy Estremera and her husband Joseph, all of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Corey, Jessica, Cody, Brandon, Sierra, Mackenzie, and Erica; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Faust and her husband Dale of New Ringgold; brothers, Glenn Fritzinger and his wife Lori and Robert Fritzinger and his wife Grace all of Lake Hauto, Daniel Fritzinger and his wife Jane of Tamaqua, Larry Fritzinger and his wife Cathy of Allentown, and Leonard Fritzinger and his wife Linda of New Ringgold; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian T. Hepler, 49, of Ashland went to heaven Thursday evening December 28th at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Thomas and Jean Hepler of Cresswell Gardens. As a child, Brian was an avid sportsman, enjoying snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, baseball, basketball, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed music, played guitar and keyboard and loved Elvis’s music.
All of this abruptly ended in 1990 when he had a major car accident which left him totally handicapped requiring total 24-hour care by his parents. Despite everything he always greeted everyone with a smile, a fist bump, or a hug.
Brian was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo in Ashland.
He loved going to the casino playing slots with assistance.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by an aunt and uncle Dianne and James Mensch, several cousins and a part-time caregiver Claudia Yutko.
Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, an uncle James Hepler and an aunt Shirley Fidler.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 from 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1115 Walnut St, Ashland PA 17921. Services will begin at 11:00 AM in church with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito officiating. Interment will be at a later date.

Anne H. Zeplin, wife, mother, sister, nana, 83 years of age of Willing Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, in the home she loved surrounded by her family.
Born Wednesday, October 9, 1940 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Adolph, and Helen (Dowd) McGroarty, Anne was also predeceased by her brother Patrick McGroarty and son-in-law, Jason Lee Frohnheiser.
A 1958 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Anne retired from St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, sister and adoring nana who babysat and looked forward to attending her grandchildren's activities. She spent many happy hours enjoying walks with her husband and beach days with her family. She was a woman of faith, a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. John XXIII R.C.C.
Surviving are: her husband of 62 years, Robert "Bob" W. Zeplin; her children Theresa M. Brode wife of Gene, Anne Z. Frohnheiser, Debra Moyer, Robert A. Zeplin and his wife Lorna, and Chrisanne Seguin, wife of John. Anne loved her siblings dearly and is also survived by brother, Joe McGroarty and Sister Theresa McGroarty order of the I.H.M. She was a proud nana of 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1 o’clock P.M. from St. John XXIII R.C.C. located at 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Friends will be received from 11:30 A.M. until the time of Mass in the Church Social Hall.
Interment St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
