Kayden W. Zelinsky
, age 16, of Pottsville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 10th, 2023.

Born in Pottsville, PA on August 22, 2007, he was the son of William and Amanda (Barninger) Zelinsky.

Kayden was a sophomore at Pottsville Area High School. He loved hanging with his friends, basketball, and playing video games.

In addition to his parents, Kayden is survived by two brothers: Cameron Michael Zelinsky and Gage Sterner; paternal grandparents John Zelinsky Sr and Beverly Nally; aunt and uncle Shannon and Tyler Seiders; uncle and aunt John and Jolly Zelinskys; aunt Ashley Stumhofer; and other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Celebrate the Life of Kayden and visit with his family on Sunday December 17th from 2-4PM at the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

Interment will be held privately.

Karley A Lawson, wife, mother, gram, sister, of Penn Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was 80 years of age.

Born Friday, August 27, 1943, in Mansfield, Missouri, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Ruby Jane (Fry) Joy. Karley was also predeceased by; first husband, William J. Stahler; son, William J. Stahler; sister Joan Burris.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, John J. Lawson; daughters, Barbara M. Lawson of Tamaqua, Donna Marie Stahler of Selinsgrove; sons, John J. Lawson and his wife Melissa of Orwigsburg, Mark A. Lawson of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Laura, Tonya, Krystal, Cory; great grandchildren, Ema, Braxton, Kyrie, brothers; Donnie Joy, Gene Joy, Larry Joy; sister, Zelma Carnahan. Many nieces and nephews also survive Karley.

A doting mother, and grandmother, Karley was active in the C.W.E.A. of St. Jerome R.C.C. Schools as her children navigated their education. A dedicated homemaker, Karley was a talented baker, enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and doing word search puzzles.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday December 22, 2023, at 10 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon from 4:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M.

Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery Owl Creek, Pennsylvania.

Violet R LaBella
of New England Valley passed away peacefully on Sunday December 17, 2023 at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center.

Born January 20, 1931 in Forestville , Cass Township, the daughter of the late Stanley, and Susan (Hnat) Sobities. She was also predeceased by; beloved husband, Dominic A. LaBella on March 28, 1999; brothers, William, Stanley, and Andrew Sobities.

Survivors: sister Mary Levitsky (Tower City) and beloved Nieces and Nephews.

A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua.

Marlene Y. "Marty" Keim
, 84, of Tower City, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, December 17, 2023, at her son Robbie's home.

Born in Shamokin, December 15, 1939, a daughter of the late John and Eleanor Weikel.

Marty devoted her life to taking care of her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and mawmaw who loved her family immensely.

She was a longtime member of the former Grace EC Church, Muir.

Marty enjoyed spending time at her camp, Camp Chrissman with her family. She could often be found reading and doing puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Keim Sr., 2019; three infant children; two brothers, Alvin and Ronald Weikel; a sister, Myrna Davis.

Marty is survived by her seven children, Kathy Schoffstall (Robert), Patti Unger (Ted), Sharon Shutt (Donald), Kenneth Keim Jr. (Lynnette), Jamie Keim (Brenda), Jennifer Miller (Troy), and Robbie Keim (Amber); twenty one grandchildren; four great grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Carol Weikel; brothers Barry, Mark, Richard, and Jeff Weikel; nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Sammy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.

Jane “Lee” Boris
, 76, of Catawissa (Numidia) formerly Shamokin passed away Friday morning December 15, 2023 at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Richlands, VA on April 11, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Hope (Witt) and James Craft Jr.

Jane graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1965.

She was the wife of Robert J. Boris they were married on May 9, 1970.

Jane was of the Catholic faith.

She previously worked in customer service for National Ticket Company. Jane was also the owner of BJ’s Pizza in Shamokin.

Jane enjoyed reading, her grandchildren, and going the Outer Banks to spend time on the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother James Irvin Craft.

She is survived by; husband Robert J. Boris, Numidia; daughter Stephanie Banning (Leo Jr.), Hummelstown; daughter Shannon Taylor, Numidia; sister Carla Rothacker (Dr. Jerald), Litiz; grandchildren Noah & Karlee Taylor, Megan, Jake, & Caleb Banning, special grandson Logan Keiser; many nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
