A woman was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon after allegedly making a threat towards Gillingham Charter in Pottsville.
Krista Bevan, Director of Organizational Development at Gillingham Charter School in Pottsville, reported that the school was placed on lockdown around 12:45 pm when they received a phone call from an upset woman warning them that someone was on their way to the school with guns.
Bevan stated that police arrived at the school within minutes of the call.
The woman was apprehended through a traffic stop at an unspecified location in Schuylkill County a short time later.
Bevan mentioned that the lockdown was lifted once they confirmed the woman was in custody.
