An 18-year-old is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison and facing sexual assault charges for having sex with a 13-year-old in Pottsville.
Officers arrived on scene and met with the mother outside the hotel and were advised her daughter was currently sitting in the lobby and was believed to be in a room with a male she met on-line.
The mother explained that she was asleep when her daughter told her boyfriend that she was going to see her female friend and left on foot with her cell phone.
The mother later awoke and checked her Life360 app and found her daughter was at the hotel, which was concerning to her because the previous date, she found out that her daughter was communicating with a male on-line and he showed up at her house the previous date after a pre-arranged rendezvous.
When officers spoke with the victim in the lobby, she disclosed that the two did have sexual intercourse in a room at the hotel prior to police arrival this date.
Officers made contact with the 18-year-old male, who was identified as Dayvon Barata Ezra Parker of Carnegie, Pennsylvania.

Parker agreed to be interviewed at Pottsville City Hall. There, he was led to an audio/video recorded interview room by Ptl. Tina Sullivan and Sgt. Englert, where he was read his Miranda rights, which he then waived and agreed to speak with police about his account of events inside the hotel room this date.
Parker freely admitted that he was contacted by the 13-year-old female who said she was coming to Parker’s room.
Parker said the 13-year-old began performing oral sex on him before the two had sexual intercourse.
Parker said the two have been communicating for about a week, and met on a site called WIZ, before the conversations changed to SnapChat and a video call. He drove from Carnegie (near Pittsburgh) the previous date.
During the interview, Parker noted on more than one occasion that he was fully aware of the female’s age being only 13 prior to the sexual interactions with her. He knew this because family told him in person, she was 13 on the day prior and he should stay away from her, but then said she looked to be 16 or 17 when he first saw her in person at the hotel, which he was quick to point out was the legal age of consent.
Based on the facts gathered in this investigation, Ptl. Tina Sullivan charged Dayvon Parker with One Count Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse (F1), One Count Statutory Sexual Assault (F2), One Count Corruption of Minors (F3) and One Count Indecent Assault (M1).
Parker was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $100,000.00 straight cash bail.
