A fire on Saturday afternoon damaged the former Mount Carbon Fire Company building.
Around 12:45pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 716 South Centre Street in Mount Carbon for a report of a structure fire.
Police and firefighters arrived and advised of a working fire on the first floor at 700 South Centre Street, the former Mount Carbon Fire Company building.
Firefighters faced frigid temperatures in the teens and water issues while battling the fire.
The fire was marked under control a little more than an hour after dispatch with extensive overhaul required.
A man who lived in the building was said to not be home at the time of the fire.
A state police fire marshal was requested to the scene to investigate a cause.
